Does anyone here use Amazon's Prime Pantry? How do the costs compare to your local grocery store? Sam's Club or Costco?

I let my Prime membership lapse over the summer. Thinking of starting it back up for Christmas shipping and access to Prime Video. But I was really interested in the Prime Pantry prices compared to local stores.

To me, I can get most of the prime pantry stuff cheaper other places or with coupons. But I do use it occasionally to buy a lot of cereal. My kids go through it like water and the prices are comparable...
Amazon prime itself I use often. Several times/month, more near christmas.

OMG This ^^

I am a Prime customer and I use the heck out of that service - I think Amazon loses money on me, even after the price increase this year. LOL I also use Swagbucks and Bing Points and redeem them for Amazon gift cards, so I am probably spending upwards to $100 / month with Amazon - and I only buy things I can have shipped free!

I love the idea of Prime Pantry, but the prices aren't that great compared to even the regular prices of my local grocery store. I think it's more about convenience than price, and if you do the math when it comes to gas, time, etc., Pantry might be justifiable. I buy some things there, mostly non-perishable stuff like tea or crackers that I can't find locally. But for regular stuff, I'll just hit up my local grocery store.
