I ordered a t-shirt on Amazon this afternoon. My email order confirmation & the my orders on my account has the correct color & size. I just got the shipping confirmation and it shows the wrong color. I clicked on the link in the email and it shows both the wrong color & size.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Ordered one size & color but received the wrong color & size?

I've had Amazon not let me select the color and size I wanted, putting another color and size in my cart, but never after it went into the cart.

On the “my orders” page, you should see an option next to the product to contact the seller (I assume it’s not sold by Amazon… most customized clothing isn’t). Click on the link to send a message to the seller explaining the situation. I think you can add an image to the message you send, so take a screenshot of the page that shows the correct size & color… then attach it to the message.

It is not custom just available in different colors. It is sold by Amazon (I just double checked). At this point it has already been shipped so I’ll have to see what is actually delivered and then contact them to have corrected, if needed.

I just find it very odd that I my order confirmation and my orders page on Amazon are correct but what shows up on the shipping confirmation is different. So now I’m not sure what will actually show up. It is the right design.

I have had that happen several times. I call Amazon using the "live person" phone number and they will cancel the order if it looks like a suspicious company or the order is incorrect. After cancellation, you could try and reorder. I wouldn't use phone customer service to change size and color.

I would wait for the package to arrive and see what you actually get. Shipping confirmation usually means the package is on its way so there isn't much anyone can do while in transit. Things I have ordered from Amazon usually come with paperwork explaining what to do if you have an issue or it needs to be returned. My experience with the online part of Amazon is that getting help is a challenge or you end up chatting with someone who can barely speak English and has no idea how to assist you.

Amazon is good when things go well, but a real challenge if you have any issues.

I ordered a pretty summer dress that said it was black and white, I got blue and white. I requested another thinking it is an error and got the same one again. I liked it and kept one anyway because I realize someone just doesn't know their colors, it is annoying but maybe the person doesn't know they are colorblind or something. I miss having more selection in stores where I am not dependant on someone else's adjectives.

I had this issue with a table cloth I ordered. I ordered a "spring" one but got the "summer' one. I looked at the bar code tag on the table cloth package and someone had covered the summer tag with the spring tag. I request another and the same thing. I assume someone retagged the summer table cloths with the spring tags so no matter how many times I ordered it I would get the wrong one. But that one showed the correct one on my order & shipping.

With this shirt it actually shows that I ordered the right one in my orders summary but if I click on the order confirmation it shows I ordered the wrong color/size. When I go to that item page it says at the top "Ordered one time in Black/Small." Which I did not. I ordered Blue/XL. Strange to me that my order confirmation has it right but the shipping has it wrong.

If you are a Prime member, most things are free returns and it is pretty easy. They credit you back either to your credit card or issue an Amazon credit (you have the option) immediately as the package is scanned by UPS when picked up. You can also leave a one star review and often the seller will reach out to you directly to make it right. Hope the correct one arrives!

Free/easy returns are why I order off Amazon. It seems unfair to leave negative review for an item when it was likely an Amazon issue, not a product issue.

I'll find out in a couple days which shirt I get. Thankfully it was just a random shirt and not something I needed for anything specific. I'd be okay with the black if it were in the correct size. A size small wouldn't fit big toe, let alone the rest of me.

If you go to order it again does it list the blue/xl as an option for quick delivery? I'm wondering if it's a possibility that what you want is not available and the seller is just sending what they have?

The e-mail order confirmation is usually sent almost immediately after you complete the order, the shipping one obviously once it actually ships

It would make much more sense for the seller, whether it is Amazon or a 3rd party to just send an Ooops, the item you ordered is out of stock. Why send someone a shirt in not only the wrong color but the complete wrong size. ? Now they will have to pay not only the initial shipping but the cost to have it shipped back, which I am sure exceeds to the cost of the actual shirt itself.

Because Amazon is full of terrible sellers? I mean they are a lot of them. If you get a bad seller they don't care about you in particular. I agree it would be easier to just send a message but you can't even get major retail companies, including Disney to do that, in a timely manner or at all to begin with.

As far as costs to send back it all depends on what the item is with its exact costs. I've had things that Amazon deemed cost more for me to ship an item back than to just let me keep it (that one was a cheap shirt from Chinese sellers). I've had Amazon deem it cost more to have me send something back to them than it was to just send me a replacement one (which meant I had two of them). I've had Amazon want the item back before sending me a replacement, etc.

It also depends on where the item was shipped from. If it says "Fulfilled by Amazon" it means the 3rd party sent the items to a warehouse for storage and Amazon shipped it out which could be either a seller issue (wherein the inventory was incorrect in the system) or an Amazon issue by the person who fulfilled the item. If it was shipped directly through the seller then it's on their end

I'm just spitballing a potential reason. That's why I asked about the delivery time with the correct item you wanted to see if it was something that used to show X delivery and now all of a sudden is much longer (which would be a potential sold out situation). And there's still the possibility that it's a display glitch, which is why you're waiting to see what you get in hopes that it was.
