Amazon Lightning Deal question

I've purchased these before and had no trouble but apparently they weren't that popular of an item. I have been watching this week and I'm seeing a lot of things sell out in less than a minute! Friday they have videos I want to get but they all start at the same time. How does the purchasing work? Once I put it in my cart do I have to pay for it RIGHT away or can I add more and then check out? If I have to add it and check out in order to keep it I'll never make the others! The one click ordering isn't coming up for the deals, I'm assuming they don't allow it.

You have 15 minutes from the time you put the item in your cart to check out. So, you could go back and get a couple more items if you hurry!

It is one per customer, but if you're like me, we have more than one amazon account in our household due to separate Kindles for each adult. We don't like to share libraries, and you know the rest.......
