We are DVC members and are doing split stay between wilderness lodge and animal kingdom next week.

We want to have snacks and drinks delivered via Amazon to our room.

Has anyone tried this? Where do we have it delivered? Should we make arrangements with guest services ahead of time?

We did this last year when staying at Pop. We just called the resort ahead of time and asked the front desk how we could go about doing it. Confirm with the front desk, but I believe we just had it delivered to the Pop street address with an ATTN: <Your Name> type thing. It sounds like people do it quite frequently. We had diapers shipped, and the CM working when we picked it up was impressed with the idea of shipping diapers instead of lugging it around during our travels. Just make sure you use up whatever you get shipped. :)

Awesome. I just called. I guess you need to make sure the package is addressed to Guest and the name on your reservation. I was also told to include the Check In Date. After your package arrives, they will call you, and you can claim it at the front desk.

I haven't ordered snacks and drinks, but we were checking in the day the last Harry Potter book came out and pre-ordered it from Amazon. It was waiting on the hall table in our SSR 2-bedroom when we arrived.

I haven't ordered anything from Amazon but I shipped our initial box of contents for our Owners Locker to SSR when we first got it - they told me to also include our confirmation # on the outside of the box along with our arrival date and name on the res.

Thanks. I haven't looked into owners locker. What kind of stuff would I leave in it? Other than swim toys/gears, I can't think of anything that I would want to keep in it.

OH MY! We love our Owners Locker. We have had it for several years now. When DS was younger we kept a few pool / dive toys but he's an adult now so I took those out. I do still have a couple pairs of goggles in it tho. We each have our own cosmetic type bag with our own preferred toothpastes, toothbrushes, combs & brushes etc. I have some facial moisturizer, shower scrunchie, shave gels, razors & my preferred brand of shampoo & conditioner etc. DH has a shower shave mirror. I also store full size body moisturizer lotion, shower gel, room deodorizer spray (for the bathroom), full size sunscreens (several - w/ different spf's), Hand sanitizers, OTC meds, bandaids, moleskin, neosporin, a sewing kit, packing tape, microwave bowls, paper plates, sharp scissors, a set of sharp knives & sm. cutting board (we use studios which don't have these things). Spare flip flops, mini umbrellas, ponchos, spray fan bottles, AA batteries and last year I added one of those large hanging sweater shelf things for the closet bcuz some of the studios don't have enough drawers for me to fully unpack. I also keep Brita refillable water bottles (1 each), a bottle of Captain Morgan & bottle & can coozies, zip lock bags (various sizes) pool & beach bags, string backpacks, collapsible coolers (to bring to the pools or waterparks). I have an inventory list where I keep track of how many I have of what along with any expiration dates. We store everything that I would normally be packing for a Disney trip anyway. When I first shipped it the box weighed 45 Lbs - so easily 1 full size checked bag worth of stuff!! I used to keep ice cube trays & "blue ice" but now that they're getting rid of the mini-fridges with the freezer sections in the studios so we don't need those items any more. We usually go down 2-3 times a year & lately drive on our longer summer trip so I can easily update / replace / swap out anything close to expiring. But it really helps on the trips when we do fly. Our locker is STUFFED to the gills - I have to sit on the lid to hold it down while DH fastens it closed!! I will say that I didn't get it delivered on our short quickie trip last fall when we went for DH's conference as it was just the 2 of us for 4 nights and we made due without it - just used the bathroom products Disney provided etc. so I don't think I will get it delivered again on our 4 night F&W trip this Sept. (again, just the 2 of us). I don't want to pay for the extra delivery fee which is $25 - you get one free delivery per calendar year with the basic membership then additional deliveries are $25. There is another plan where you can get more deliveries included but we don't go THAT often. We'll be there in June for 8 nights and I will replenish any sunscreens or whatever so that it will be good to go for our January trip next year which is a week long so I don't mind paying for the extra delivery. I can pack so much lighter now by having the Owners Locker - we rarely check bags & even when we DO it's usually just one to share!! And even when we drive all I really need to worry about is clothes.

I am going to look into this. Thanks.

We have 2 lockers- this year they are getting revamped.... too much stuff in there that never gets used. I like it that the OL site allows me to see what I put in there!

We've had Amazon ship- it works out well with the above described method of addressing the package.

I just want to close loop on this. We ordered soft drinks, coffee (our morning ritual) and snacks from Amazon Pantry. Amazon Pantry allowed us to select items and gave us an estimate on how much space each item occupied in one shipping box. We filled our box and placed our order. Our order was scheduled to arrive two days before our check-in. The order arrived 3 days late. We couldn't complain, because with Amazon Prime, we don't pay for shipping. However, we ended paying for "Disney" coffee and snacks every day until our shipment arrived. In the end, I'm not sure we saved much and it was a pretty big inconvenience. I was told by the front desk that they will hold shipments "indefinitely" for guests. I would probably do Amazon Pantry again, but I would probably arrange for the shipment to be there a week ahead of check-in just in case.
