amazon and free shipping trail

I already have a few things for christmas sitting in my cart on amazon
shipping was 36$ but then they have the free tralk for prime with free shipping for I think one month
so I click to have that and yet only something like 7$ was listed as free shipping

I thought when you had prime it was always free shipping
also is it easy to cancel after the month

Some things aren’t prime eligible. Are any of your items shipping from third parties or are they all shipping direct from Amazon?

Free shipping IF it's sold by Amazon, some sources are not fully part of the Amazon empire and charge shipping. But if you look it should always be obvious as you check out. Sometimes you need to pause as you go.

If it says PRIME then its generally one or two day FREE SHIPPING.

If its not prime then it could still be free shipping but take longer or it could be that it costs to ship it.

My guess is items you've chosen to order are not prime and are 3rd party companies that at times charge large amounts for shipping.

Also, it will only show free shipping if you're logged in. I have Prime and sometimes I'm not logged in. When that's the case, it will look like it's charging me shipping. Once I log in, the shipping price changes to 0. But as others have said, only items sent by Amazon are free shipping. Third-party sellers are not included.

I don't have Prime, but generally when your order is more than $35 you get free shipping. I always look closely now when getting ready to place an order because it appears some items no longer apply. I usually remove them from my cart and buy them on another website. Amazon lately has a lot of notes/popups/clutter when getting ready to check out and it seems like they purposely try to obscure what you are agreeing to and think people will just click 'continue' without noticing. Have been shopping less @ Amazon and using other competing sites like Walmart which often has the same products for less and no funny business of which items are included in the free shipping.
