I just talked to my friend who is going Oct 3. I called her last night to give her the heads up about the free dining package. She called CRO this am (around 10am) and got the "computers down, we'll call you back" speech. Well, I told her to call them back and she did. By the time she talked to someone after lunch, they said all the YMP code packages were gone for WL (where she was currently booked). :confused3 She told them (politely!) she didn't think that was her fault as when she called they had told her there were some available, but CRO was unable to finish processing her reservation. They transferred her to Guest Relations, and .... Are you ready... CRO/Guest Relations upgraded her reservation to the CR TOWER at no additional cost!! :cool1: Talk about PD and Disney Magic! :wizard: She got the dining free too! She is thrilled. :Pinkbounc Now if I can only figure out a way to tag along with them...

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is what I can remember Disney being like - offering the wonderful customer service. I hope they now feel that they will be able to go back to this level of service without feeling like they are losing money.

I know! I'm very happy for her, she is so excited! It's so much fun spreading and sharing the Disney Magic!

Well, while we are spreading Disney Magic. We had a great CM at Guest Relations called Cee Cee. She is wonderful. I know we are driving her crazy with our constant requests for changes and indecision, but she has remained calm, cheerful and helpful. Due to some mix-ups with reservations, she discounted our trip some $700, booked us another day at the Poly at a discounted rate and got us VIP seating to the fireworks show at Epcot. I have learned that you reap what you sow. We have treated her extra special everytime we talk to her and tell her how wonderful she is. In return, she has done everything she can to help us with our trip. I hope the pixie dust continues to come my way!!

It's sounds like Cee Cee is wonderful, I just had a problem yesterday when I booked a trip. I was booking an 8 night trip and when I called today they only had me down for 6 nights, hence my rate was increased by $700. (YC). I talked to a supervisor who would not help, either reduce the price to the one originally quoted or provide me with any upgrades. Do you think I should contact Cee Cee, or someone else. Do you think I have any grounds to ask for anything at all?

Well, I don't know if this was an upgrade, but I have been changing my dates as my work/travel plans change. Encounted 'the computers are down' several times yesterday and today, and a less than helpful CM in guest relations. Finally was able to make my change today, and the sweet CM offered to book me into SSR at $189/night in June!!! (I asked for an AP rate for YC, which is normally $234) I paid an AP rate of $209 at OKW recently, so this was a surprise.

Needless to say, I booked it as YC is not available!

I've never stayed at the CR. Just wondered if the tower is the main part of the resort where you go for Chef Mickey's? Why is that part of the resort more desirable than one of the Garden Wings. I assume the Garden Winds are the motel type buildings that surround the main part of the resort.

That is awesome!! Good for her!! :cool1: That is just iceing on the cake.

Sawyermaw, the tower is the main building like you said. The main attraction is the view, especially if your on the MK side. You can see the fireworks every night and just see in the park. Its also great to be so close to the main lobby. If and when I stay at the CR, I only want a tower room.
