AMAZING RACE 5 - Official Thread

::yes:: ::yes:: I couldn't agree more!!

I thought Kim was hysterical telling Chip that he wanted to do it! :D That is just the way they are, and I like them together. Go Chip and Kim!!!:hyper:

I have a yield question....I'm assuming they can only use it on a team that is behind them.....how do they know who is behind and who is ahead? What if say, Chip had tried to yield the bowling moms(who were ahead) would it have counted as his one yield? Would they have to stop whereever they were? Or is it only to be used on the people behind you? Is everybody's picture still in there or do they remove the pictures as each team passes by?

Trivial I know but I'm wondering?

cruisnfamily...I'm still not sure how the yield works either. I think they can use it on teams ahead of them but I don't know how that would work.

I just watched the twins on the Early Show. They seemed very grateful for their time on the show and are hoping the bowling moms win! I thought they would want Chip and Kim to win.

I don't know what got into Colin this week because he actually seemed human a few times. Maybe the producers said something to him??? Anyhow, Chip and Kim's predicition of a total meltdown may come true next week. (Although the previews tend to just get our hopes up and make a bigger deal out of it than it really is.)

Yippee, so glad the twins are gone. They were lucky to make it this far. Colin and Christie may be jerks, but they really are playing the game well. They really don't make any dumb mistakes or get lost like the other teams do.

I thought what kim said was hysterical. But, she always does all the detours, so she does get down and dirty.

Does anyone else get annoyed when they edit it to look much closer than it is. It was obvious by how dark it was that the twins were way behind the other teams. They must have been at the mud pit forever if Brandon and Christie passed them when they were leaving. They really didn't show any of that though.

I was thinking the same thing - it was really dark when the twins checked in! I was thinking they would be right behind Chip & Kim!

Luckymommyx2 is right, they always seem to make the melt downs look worse then they turn out ot be in the coming attractions.

I thought the two tasks last night really looked like a lot of fun. I really want to try that ball thingy. I can't believe anyone would choose searching in mud over shooting a rapids. Those seach tasks always tend to bog a team down (remember the scarab search and the chocolates?)

I'm sorry the twins are gone. They made for some great comic relief. At this point anyone who gets eliminated will be missed by someone (even Colin and Christie).

Has anyone checked the stadnings? Our group is doing about triple the points of the next nearest group.

I knew this questions was going to kill me:

Which of the following countries will any of the racers visit this week?
gometros's answer: None of these
Correct answers: Australia, Singapore

Sorry to nitpick, but changing flights in an airport is NOT "visiting" a country.

I have come to the sad realization that Colin/Christy are probably going to win this game. :( They have won like 3 trips already. C&K won 1. I don't think anyone else has won anything.

The bowling Mom's have really amazed me. Their kids must be so "shocked" at having such "cool" Moms.

I believe the twins said they choose the mud because they were cold and wanted warm mud instead of cold water. Sometimes the choices don't seem to be the best one, however, *we* don't know how the clues are written. I'm thinking it may sometimes be hard to know which one to choose as a timesaver..... The twins were kind of "lost" in their own little world, but they were always *nice*.

I really wish they would post a time schedule after the show has aired. I'd really like to know how much time each team took at a task. B&N looked like they took a long time in the mud & the twins looked like they found the clue quickly. However, I'm sure it's all in the editing.

I'm just so glad they did not have a team of 2 althletic men this time.

The detour and road block seemed like so much fun. There is no way I'd choose mud over water.

It looks like Collin and Christie might be the team to win but who knows. Maybe it will end up being one of the others.

I'm thinking the last non-elimination will be when they are down to three teams. I think it's been done like that before.

I'm rooting for Chip and Kim and the bowling moms.

Brandon and Nicole are starting to annoy me...while they were in the mud pit forever, he thought he should pray to the Lord to help him find the clue...somehow, I believe God has more important things to do than this. Nicole sort of rolled her eyes when Brandon suggested this!! Although I have to admit that it seemed like he did find the clue real fast after praying!!

Hi there,
I looked on the Digital Guide for Sat and it doesn't show AR on there at all, I think there is Tennis or Golf (not really sure but some sport) but we know that the guide isn't always right huh??

Probably U.S. Open tennis ....thanks:D

I agree. I got the impression Kim was at her limit after the waterfall - anything else at that point would have been too much. She probably thought Chip could handle it.

Chip and Kim are my favorites to win. They just seem to roll with the punches and are truly enjoying themselves, even appreciating the opportunity.

Colin was growing on me last night too. I thought, he might be changing his ways. Then the previews....I guess a verbal abuser cannot keep his abusing mouth shut for too long of a period of time.

YOU GO...Chip and Kim. Now there's a happily married couple.

I thought it was cool the way they showed Brandon praying and then finding the clue. God cares about the little things too, you just have to ask.

That just made good television. How much you want to bet that the time between his praying and actually finding the thing was longer than they made it appear?

I agree... Colin was WAY too nice last night....no one can change that abruptly without some sort of counseling. Next weeks previews definately show that...BTW was he crying when he tells Christy he hates her in the previews?? Someone needs to grow up.

Oh, I'm sure. But I still think it was neat.

I rolled my eyes right along with Nicole. Kind of cracked me up, "Go ahead and pray out loud, while you keep looking!" :p

I think Kim had had enough with the rapids, and "volunteered" Chip. I hope they win, but I'm afraid it will be Colin & Christie. Bleh.
