Count me as another one to be sorry that Charla's gone. She's a tough cookie, and she always had a great attitude. And although Mirna did get annoying at times, if I might say a word in her defense: she and Charla have been cousins all their lives. Mirna has probably seen an awful lot of people doing mean things and underestimating Charla due to her size. I think a lot of Mirna's defensiveness comes from a history of seeing/hearing such things. Not that everyone would be mean to a little person, but I'm sure it's just a defense you develop over time. I'm probably not explaining it right. Anyway, I thought they made a good team and "enjoyed the ride", as do Chip and Kim, and I'll root for a team like that any day of the week!

A co-worker and I were discussing AR5, and she had a pretty good idea. At the midpoint of the eating challenges, why don't the twins excuse themselves and go to the restroom? Then they could come out and have the other one pick up where the first one left off. Would anyone know?

It'd be cheating, for sure. But it'd be brilliant strategy too. Which is probably why they didn't think of it!

Jimbo, that's a nice thought, but your thinking patterns are WAAYY too sophisticated for those two! They're funny to watch, though.

hilside, I'm glad you understood what I meant. I didn't feel like I was coming across like I wanted to. In our house, Belle gets the pointing, stares, and comments because she has hair down to her thighs. It's thick and blonde and absolutely gorgeous, but after a while, you get fed up with the comments and stares--and it's a positive, not a disability. I truly wonder if people see her for the sweet, beautiful child she is, and not just a head of hair--especially since I'm her mom, and it's my job to help her learn that it's the beauty on the inside that counts! But, I keep emphasizing the positive attitude, and many times we discussed Charla's approach to life and how she never quit or complained. It's just so refreshing compared to Nicole's, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful!"

Did anyone else notice this in the last episode? When Chip & Kim delivered the chair -- they were given the receipt -- did I see Chip or Kim pass some money to the family who received the chairs?

Mirna, however, is really, really annoying. Apparently she speaks 5 languages, and now we can say we've heard them all (English, English with a Spanish accent, English with a Russian accent, English with an Arabic accent and English with a Swahili accent). I guess poor Mirna just ran out of languages.
