Amanda's Menu Planning Spectacular!

Well yesterday was going great until the evening. I ended up giving in to frozen custard that was loaded with carbs - so no cheat free for me. I'm a little disappointed in myself because there was really no reason to eat the custard.

Today:
B: BIG Omelet with Salsa and Sour Cream (YUMMY!)
- going bridesmaid dress shopping and then grocery shopping for stuff to make guacamole
L: Probably a lettuce sandwich :)
D: Here and there - we have the party in the evening so I'm going to be eating my guacamole! YUMMY!

Exercise: After I get back I am going to do the Strength Training tape.

Water - going to try to concentrate on water since I seem to fall behind on weekends.

Did you enjoy the custard at all when it was going down? I hate it when I eat something and then think it wasn't that great after all and certainly not worth a cheat. Now if it was a Cinnabon. . .:p

Enjoy the bridesmaid dress shopping--you can go knowing you're looking terrific! The party and the guacamole will be fun, too.

Lots of good stuff for you to do today, Amanda. Sure you wouldn't rather come over and clean out the guest room closet with me????:rolleyes:

Bridesmaid dress shopping was fun. I am 15 lbs or so lighter then I was when I got measured for the first bridesmaid dress (Have I mentioned I'm in 3 wedding this year) however the dress I got measured for today is a size larger then the other one. I'm thinking it must just be the makers.

The good news is that the first dress I was measured for is in (and it is all at the same shop - Thank Goodness) so I got to try that on today. Originally the sales lady told me that they would have to let it out about an inch in the hips (I didn't like her very much). Well today it just slid right on! No need to take anything out! Yippie!

I've stuck to my menu with one addition of a cookie but I did get in my Firm tape today although I almost talked myself out of it.

I need to drink more water -I've only had 16 oz so far.

Erin, I had to clean my house last night because of all the stuff going on today. We cleaned bathrooms, scrubbed the kitchen, and vacumed the entire house. Dh got out the carpert cleaner and got up some spots while I was gone today. Want me to send him over ;)?

Oh Good Lord. What a night. I did end up drinking at this party - alot actually. DH and I didn't get home until 3a.m. so at the moment I've only had about 4 hours of sleep. I'm feeling really bad about last night though because she has this new boyfriend and around midnight someone started talking current politics and him and I started debating - a debate that lasted for a good 2 hours or more. It was a strong debate and a good one because neither one of us resulted to calling the other names or just throwing hands up in the air saying something stupid. The only reason we ended it is because we ended up at an impass we knew that neither of us would budge. I think I am more tired from this debate then the actual party and drinking. My friend this guy is dating is kind of upset now because of some of the views this guy expressed and also because she doesn't think we like him. I like him just fine - anyone willing to put up a good arguement and keep it up with me is someone that I can like. DH even said that - Amanda loves it when people fight back.

I don't know why I am journaling all this - but I'm hoping it allows me to go back to bed.

I have to be honest and say that I didn't even TRY today! I was just to tired to really even care if I was on plan or not. Tomorrow is a new day - and hopefully a better one. I am off to bed!

Sounds like you needed some rest there! It's not a bad thing to lay off everything for a day or so. It's your bodys way of telling you to slow down!

Well I got on the scale this morning to take a look at the damage done. WOW! I gained 7 lbs this weekend. I know a lot of this will flush out with lots of water though so I've already started drinking out of my mug.

B: Water and 4 slices of Bacon - 4 carbs
L: Salad and Water
S: Water
D: I think I'll make Heroin Wings and veggies, and water
S: Water

Exercise- if I feel up to it I'll do Aerobics plus Strength Training or I may continue to take it easy today and then workout tomorrow.

I hope to get to journals later!

I'm just checking on you. I hope this coming week brings you lots of happiness and sunshine. Keep up the good work you're doing with your exercising - I'm sure everything else will fall into place. Take care of yourself!!!! :)
 
oh man amanda, that weekend you just had sure sounds like it was a doozy! sorry about that 7 pound "gain", but like you said, i'm sure it's mostly water retention, you didn't gain 7 pounds over a weekend. nope, no way, no siree. just do your best to get right back on plan, and down that water! i hope you do have time to get in your workout tonight, because you really seem to get a charge out of it. your posts seem to have extra energy on the days you workout ::yes::

Wow what a weekend! I love a good argument. I had one with my FIL this weekend. Politics and family can make for some interesting conversations. Don't worry about being off program. It happens, especially when you're tired. It is the long haul that gets us to goal. Thisweekend was just a blip. Hang in there and push the water. You'll get a bonus visit from the Whoosh Fairy.

Amanda, sounds like you and I are twins!! I love a good argument myself! I can like someone with totally different views as a person but have a fun time talking and hashing it all out to see if they can defend WHY they feel the way they do. If they have a good logical reason then I can not only like them, but respect them more for being a truely thinking person! My family had debates all the time growing up and then 2 minutes later you'd never know it. My poor DH thought we were nuts because his family NEVER discusses anything controversial. :p

You'll be back on track in no time! You'll get sick of being off plan and you'll WANT to take up your healthy habits again. No need to feel bad about the weekend - it's already gone. That extra water weight will be gone soon too - just keep on drinking!! ::yes::

THANKS! for everyone who stopped by yesterday. I did get through the day successfully and drank lots and lots of water. Checked the scale today and I lost 6 of the 7 lb gain from the weekend. I am unbelievably tired today, and I didn't even workout yesterday! Not sure why my body is so tired but I am not going to push it.

Today's plan:
B: Eggs and Sausage - 4 carbs
L: Something at home - maybe a cheeseburger and some mushrooms.
D: Chicken Breast - I got out 3lbs of fresh chicken breast that I have to do something with. Not sure what yet though. I'm going to try to find some recipes online today. I would like to make at least 2 different items out of them so that we can use them for later in the week. Any suggestions?

E: Only if I feel up to it - I'm letting my body recover.
Water - drinking more and more everyday! Yesterday I did 10 cups of water! :)

Hello Amanda,

I'm glad the Whoosh fairy made a visit. You must have spent half the day in the bathroom.;) Chicken suggestions, how about chicken parmesan and chicken salad. Or you could boil all the chicken today, make chicken salad tonight and chicken soup later in the week. You could utilize some marinades, terriaki one night, italian dressing the next. I love chicken because it is versitile.

So far so good today and I am feeling strong. My lunch ended up being Peanut Butter and Celery sticks. I just wasn't in the mood to prepare a big lunch since I know I am going to be having a big dinner. I've only had 22 oz of water today so far and I am drinking a diet coke now to keep the Caffine monster away. I'll drink another 22 oz before I leave work today.

Still feeling really tired - took a power nap at lunch for 10 minutes.

H-E-L-L-O Amanda - your tired cuz you stayed up till 3 AM Sat night. You are not 20 years old anymore and not used to all that craziness!!!:earseek: :crazy:
Seriously, when your not used to it, it takes your body a few days to bounce back. I am sure you will be feeling better in no time. If you are fairly certain that is why you are tired, the exercise would probably even help you. It would release some of those endophrines (SP?) to make you feel more energetic.
Sounds like the rest of your day is going very well. WTG with all that water. You are doing great with it!:teeth:

45 carbs - still cheat free!

I had some bad chocolate cravings yesterday! I just couldn't stay away from chocolate not sure if I am :boat: on a Dzone wave or what. My dinner last night was fabulous! It was a homemade version of Alice Springs Chicken from Outback! YUMMY!

Feeling much more awake today! I may even exercise! Oh and almost forgot the best news - the scale said 152 lbs this morining! Finally it went down a pound! :bounce:

Todays Plan:
B: Eggs and Sausage - 3 carbs
L: Left over Alice Spring Chicken (2 carbs) Veggie (4 carbs)
S: 2 slices of Gouda cheese
D: Lemon Pepper Chicken (1) and Veggie
S: ?? Sugar Free Jello Perhaps.

Exercise: This is again a maybe depending on how I am feeling.

My SIL is due to have a baby any second - they keep saying she'll go into labor today. So I may not be able to post tonight if she does.

Oh! New pants! I am wearing a new pair of dress slacks today at work. They are a size 12 - I am a little uncomfortable in them but not because they are to tight but because they fit! I'm so use to wearing pants that are to big!
