AM or PM excursions???

Hi,

The excursions that we are looking at on St Martin have an AM and a PM departure time.

Can anyone give me their pros and cons as to which time you like doing your excursions???

The one thing that I would like opinions/advice on is the sun...
(I burn easily and really didn't want to do the GoldenEagle or the Rhinos because of this but I was voted down!!)

Which is worse, the AM sun or the PM sun?? or does it matter???
(I got this one tip here about Rit dye with sunscreen and I plan to do all my t-shirts with it!!)

Also if you go in the afternoon do you have time to have a decent lunch in the dining rooms?

Are the pools more crowded in the AM or the PM on port days?

And any other advise on this I would appreciate!!

we went on the golden eagle on the earlier time and i didn't get sunburned at all. there's an area on the cataraman that's in the shade and that's where we sat going and coming back to the ship. we snorkled and swan around some and i really don't remember the sun beating down on me. we were back to the ship by 12 something in time for lunch.

Personally we like doing the AM excursions and then you have time to come back for lunch. It is going to be hot either way but it is definitely hotter in the PM and sun is stronger.

My brother and his family did the Golden Eagle Catamaran and had a ball. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
