Just want to make sure I have this straight before I purchase the entitlement.... sorry if it's long :)

We have 2 families that will be there at the same time but on different reservations. I think me (4 ppl) and other mom (5ppl) have correctly linked our MDE accounts because we can each see all 9 of us when we log in on our own accounts. We each have it set so we can see and purchase each others photos. I am planning on buying the MM entitlement. Since I control the other 3 on my ressie and she controls the other 4 on hers, does that mean that if any of the 9 of us have pictures added to our magic bands that they can be downloaded into my account? I know that the ride photos will only be viewable and that all pics can only be edited when logging in on my account, but I just want to make sure that if the kids go off and do their own thing that we'll have access to their pictures.

Anything else I should know? THANKS!

Having just returned recently and used MM, I'll share what I know.

1. Once you have purchased MM, everyone on YOUR reservation can just scan and go.

2. The other family will need to grab a photopass card from a cast member, which can be "attached" to their magic bands (you can do this through MDE or by going to any of the photo shops). Keep the card and snap a picture of the card ID number with your phone.

3. When you are back home, attached their card number to your account and all the pictures will cross over.

4. For rides a member of your reservation will have to be present to load the photos onto the account, or they will need to save the picture number on their phone (or text you the ride/picture number) and let you stop by before leaving the park that day to have the photo loaded.

5. As of today, the only restaraunts to include photos for MM are Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus. All other must be purchased separately. And after January 4, 2015, no restaraunt photos will be included.

We did this a good bit as we would split up to do different things with the kids. Prior to leaving the park, I would collect all the photo #s and hit the rides to have them loaded.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the write up. I do have one question though, is this your reservation or your linked MDE? We've got 3 rooms so 3 reservations but we are all linked under MDE for FP+ and dining purposes. I thought that would also link us for MM.

When I used it, it didn't matter who was on my reservation, I saw everyone's pictures if our accounts were linked.

Fob... when you say it doesn't include pictures, you mean the actual print of the picture right?

When I used this last all the restaurant photos are included in digital form, not print form. You're saying they're not even including the digital print anymore??

you don't need to grab photopass cards.

We were 19 people on 5 separate reservations. the MM package was on my account. I made sure *everyone* was set to allow me to view their photos and I was able to get everyone's photos on our package at the end of the trip.

I thought Hoop Dee Doo was included?

I'm wondering, though, if all 9 of us are linked properly. Only the two of us had the option to view and purchase each others pictures. I'm guessing that's because we're the only 2 that actually have MDE accounts, and then we manage the other people in our families. We are able to see all of our combined fastpasses and ADRs. Does it sound like there's anything else we need to do?

Not true. Should link just from the Magic Bands, at least it did for us. I guess you could have them get the PP cards if you are concerned about it, but they won't link ride photos to the photopass card.

Also not true. The pictures linked for all of the rides, regardless of whether or not someone with the MM entitlement on their room was on the ride with us. The only issue was the viewing of the photos because the photos can only be seen on the account of the person with the MM entitlement.

None of these other photos were included anyway. They just discontinued trying to sell you the pre-meal photo during the meal.

Not quite. You also have to enable the viewing/purchasing of photos on the accounts that are linked.

The digital photos were still added to our MM. They no longer offer the option to buy the photo at the meal.

This is how it worked for us as well!

As long as the owners of the accounts have given permissions it should work fine. My kids (on my account) were unable to give permissions and they still were able to scan their bands for photos just fine.

Just make sure that you have the MM purchased at LEAST 3 days prior to your arrival and you should be good to go.

The only other thing would be to be 100% sure that in each MDE account, the person that has the memory maker linked to their account is set to be allowed to view and purchase your photos. ( If you go to your family and friends, click on that person, there's a place to specify allow view and purchase ). Then by all accounts, that person who has the memory maker will be able to see all photos linked to your account ( which includes other members you manage who might not have MDE accounts ).
