I think we are going to rent a car for our next trip because we have to head over to WWOS and I have heard it's a nightmare. I only want a little compact, but am finding around $200 for Thursday to Wednesday.

the latest I've found is Dec 31/05 (budget?)

But you're not too early to book..I've got a ressie for a minivan for $837 for 3 weeks in Feb (plus taxes, comes to $1090) I hope we're going to find something a little better than that, but if we don't, well, we don't ;) Same ressie has already gone up to $886.

HTH!!

I scheduled Budget for Jan 5 -8 (one way trip from MCO to Port Canaveral...meaning it's more expensive) for a 4 door compact: $84 (before taxes), with my Costco membership discount it was rebated further to $55.16.

Return trip, one day from Port Canaveral to MCO was $32.

So I'm guessing that $200 is to be expected. Have you looked into Priceline?

We've got an Intermediate booked thru National, EA from Thurs 1/5 to Fri 1/13 for $123.66 / $140.17 after taxes with the priceless code.

If only I could get an airfare deal, then I'd be happier! :)
