I feel kind of silly posting this, but am I the only one planning an Oct. 2012 trip right now? I know its a long ways off but its never to early to start saving money and buying little things here and there......right?

It's never too early to start saving your money! I definitely believe that.

I am planning one too......just not too much now since I have a couple others first.
But we are definitely going then.

Don't feel silly, right now we are planning on going back March 2013 for our 10th anniversary! :cool1::lovestruc
I'm hoping I can talk DH into a trip before then, but so far that's the one he's agreed to. LOL

I'm planning a trip for October 2012. :woohoo: In fact I have a trip report. :rotfl2: And a countdown. :rotfl: And my daughter and I got 500 Mickey head paint samples today to make our countdown calendar over the weekend. :lmao: And I know where we are staying for 8 of the nights; the last 4 are up in the air. I have decided on almost all of our ADRs. :thumbsup2 We'll do 9 park days and have some pool/spa/golf downtime.

So no, you are not the only one. :grouphug:

I could never plan a trip that far out! The anticipation would kill me! :lmao:

Yeah its hard not being able to book anything just yet but I do love planning...its just a slow pace right now.

So glad to see there are others already planning as well! :thumbsup2 Love the countdown sticker idea.....gonna have to do that myself!!

I remember when my trip counter was 400 something days. No worries :-)

Sad part is it gets here before you know it.

We're partially planning right now!

Won't make firm plans until the prices come out in August.

But the real planning will have to wait until November when the park hours for May are announced!

We have just gotten back from our trip last week. DH was so sick on the trip that I had to take him to an after hours clinic around midnight one night. He missed out on alot of the trip recovering in bed.:sad1: I was planning on our next trip being in 3 years, but he said that maybe we could go back next year to make up for this trip.!!!! So I am going to be cautiously optimistic for an October 2012 trip!

My fiance and I were planning on a May 2012 trip, which I thought was bad enough. And then we decided to hold out for the possibility of free dining in the fall, and so we're now planning on September. Argh! Oh well, the longer the wait, the more time until the trip is over.

I've only been to Disney once, last year. It was completely and totally spontaneous. My fiance and I were in Florida visiting his family in Miami. He knew I'd never been to Disney (he couldn't believe it when I told him. I am the biggest Disney dork, and a total child) and I guess he figured we had to go! So we went for 5 days, stayed off site, in the middle of Spring Break. It was magical, despite how busy it was and how unplanned it was. Obviously we didn't have any dining reservations and we basically just meandered and saw what we could. It was still the best 5 days of my life! I can't imagine how wonderful it will be when I have over a year to plan :]

I've already mapped out every restaurant we're going to, every shop I don't want to miss, and have read every tip, trick, and tidbit I can find. My planning isn't light! But I'm having so much fun with it, it's actually helping with the anticipation. I missed so much the first time around, this trip is so exciting for me because it's my first full-on Disney World experience. I can't wait!!!
