I know what I am about to say would be considered blasphemy to some but here goes. I don't really like Epcot! :scared1: There I said it! ;)

I just don't care for it. I do enjoy Test Track, Soarin, and Spaceship Earth but that is about it. I find the rest of Future world to be a bore. As for World Showcase it is somewhat nice to make a quick walk around maybe get a nice pastrey in France but that is about it. I also do really like Illuminations. So I am not saying that I wouldn't go to Epcot but for me I think it is a half day park at best.

Is there anyone else out there like me?

Yes! You are the only one!

I love Epcot, I go back and forth between Epcot and MK being my favorite park. I didn't always feel that way though, it took me a little while to appreciate Epcot. I always liked it and I slowly came to love and appreciate it. It's a 2 day park for me now. :goodvibes

How dare you, blasphemer!

Just kidding, lol. I personally love Epcot and could do two full days there and still want more...but if the lines for the rides at DHS were any shorter, it would be a half-day park for me! I guess it's all personal preference :rotfl: I'm kinda with you, though on Future World. I like the Nemo ride, but after that I'm ready for WS, haha.

(I think us Epcot lovers might accidentally hijack this thread!) But to each his own! :cool2:

I spend almost every afternoon and evening at Epcot - especially on days when Off Kilter plays (in Canada). :woohoo: I also prefer to stay at the Swan or Dolphin, because its so conveniently located near Epcot.

Dude, you are barking up the wrong tree. Every park is awesome, but Epcot is awesomest of the awesomes.

My children don't really like epcot ...........

BUT...........

I am hoping with the addition of kim possible, I will get to spend a few extra hours at the park without them getting bored.

:banana::banana::banana:

And let's not get started on the great food that can be found at epcot.

It's my favorite, but I totally get what you're saying.

I don't love DHS.

To each, his own. :)

I didn't really care for Epcot our last trip (in fact we only went one day when we had planned for three days...) However, if I didn't have our child with us, I may have liked it more. He was bored, didn't care much for the rides (aside from living with the land which he rode over and over and over again) and tired from walking so it was hard to enjoy. But we're giving it another try this trip.

But I know I'm in the minority and I'm ok with that. But I :love::love: Animal Kingdom!

I go on the Safari and see Nemo - and then I leave AK!

I love Epcot but, DH could take it or leave it...I'm the same with AK we have an amazing zoo locally ( I know I know it's not a zoo...whatever) so, it just doesn't seem that special of a place to me. But DH could spend all vacaion there. To each their own!!

I never really cared much for EPCOT until our trip in 2008...For some odd reason, I had the best time ever...then in May of this year, my DBF and I took a quick trip down and planned only EPCOT and MK.....now mind you, I ALWAYS go to MK on the first and last day.....since we only had 2 days...we went to EPCOT first....had the time of my life.....

I must say though, MK will always be my favorite...

I don't like EPCOT either.

I also don't like babies, puppy dogs, flowers, rainbows, mom, apple pie, etc.

:)

Ok, now that I can breathe again.....I love Epcot but as others have said, to each his own. AK is a half day park for me but my youngest loves going on EE over and over.

I'd be very interested to know if the original poster had ever experienced Epcot pre-1994. Back when was E.P.C.O.T. Center?

I must admit that even though the current Epcot is still my favorite park at WDW, I miss Communicore, the Living Seas, Listen to the Land, the "Walter Cronkite" Spaceship Earth, World of Motion, Journey into Imagination, and most of all, Horizons. Not to mention the littler things. I still remember the total sense of awe and worderment I had when we made same-day dining reservations with WorldKey.

There was a time where Future World really felt like a glimpse of the future (or at least like a very, very cool science museum). The current version has gotten a little muddled in its purpose. I'm not one of those people who wishes is remained exactly the way it was on opening day, but I wish they had added more than I feel they've removed over the years.

My first visit was in 2007.

I think maybe I should re-phrase my original statement. I probably shouldn't have said "don't really like Epcot" but rather that of the 4 parks it is my least favorite. In a typical 7 Day vacation I certainly wouldn't skip Epcot.

At first I thought maybe it was that I had only gone with my kids and they don't care for it a whole bunch, but in May I made a solo trip and went to Epcot twice and it was the same thing. It was just Hoe Humm. Nothing like Magic Kingdom which I could spend 7 straight days in!

It's not my favorite of the four, but my love for Epcot has changed as I've gotten older.

Years ago, it was future world that I loved, while WS bored me to tears.

Now, it's WS that fascinates me the most. The amazing detail everywhere you look, the shopping for all sorts of interesting trinkets (although there is a creeping homogenization in that department that concerns me) the endless afternoons of good times and fascinating conversations with total strangers at the pub in Rose and Crown. ( ;) )

And of course that it's walking distance to The Dolphin, our usual hotel of choice.
