Am I the Only One

I just posted something about this on another thread.
I don't acutally own a pair right now. To be honest, when they first became popular, the DH and I used to talk about how ugly they are, but now the more that I see them, they are actually becoming cute. I was actually thinking about getting a pair for our upcoming trip...Of course that all depends on what they actually look like on me...sometimes things that look great on others is just plain terrible on me!

I dont own a pair. While I was in disney I slipped a pair on they are SUPER comfortable!! but i felt like they made me look like i had CANKLES!! :lmao:

I don't own any, though I am not opposed to them. I have been thinking of getting a pair, but I am undecided. After all the rave reviews, I believe I will try a pair.

I don't own any...YET. ;) I never really gave them much thought until I joined this board and started reading about them, and now Crocs are on my "must-have" list! :rotfl:

I had a pair of Skechers...thought they were the greatest things until I wore them to WDW and EPCOT last year and got a monstrous blister on my toe, to the point where I could barely hobble after Day 2! I am hoping the Crocs will be better and from what I've read, I'm pretty confident they will be! :thumbsup2

I think many of you are just lucky to be able to wear normal shoes around the parks all day and not be in pain. Personally, I've tried a lot of different shoes and no matter what I wore, my feet were killing me by lunchtime at the parks. So Crocs were a lifesaver for me. As a guy who wears Crocs with socks, I look especially dorky. But if that's what it takes for me to walk around the parks all day without being miserable, I'll gladly make the trade-off. Heck, I'd wear them even if they only came in hot pink with polka dots. That's how much better my feet feel.

People do love their crocks. I have no desire to buy a pair, my children would never consider wearing them. My mom is a nurse and she bought a pair because everyone was raving about them. She wore them once, she thought they were so ugly, it was almost a distraction.

I never thought anyone in my family would own any crocs. That is until one day in the store DD4 saw the croc display, and said she had been dreaming of these her whole life! Luckily they had 1 pair in her size(I had to make her dream come true!;) ) She has about 10 pairs of shoes, and will only wear her crocs. My son who is 20 mo. got his first pair(lime green!) this week, and he loves them. I probably will get a pair of the flip flops before we go to WDW, but I'm still to vain to wear the original ones. Although my kids look really cute in them!

I have that same problem...no matter what I wear, I end up in pain and with blisters, so your experience with Crocs is very encourageing and gives me even more incentive to purchase a pair!

I thought I was the only one who didn't own any. Glad to now I'm not alone. :)

it seems like EVERYBODY on these boards luv, luv, LUV their Crocs. I don't have a desire to slip my feet into those things no matter how comfortable they're supose to be; they just look like they would make your feet sweaty and smelly. If I wanted shoes that make my already size 10 feet look any bigger I could have my MIL bring me a pair of genuine Wooden Shoes from Holland on her next visit. Now with that said if I found a pair of cute Croc flip flops before my hubby and I return in Sept I'll give 'em a whirl but other than that...N-O!

But can someone answer me this...Do the original ones, (not the flip flop ones) make your feet hot, sweaty and smelly???

You are not alone! Nobody in my family owns them. I just can't think of wearing anything but my Jordans while doing that much walking.

I don't have any either and I don't want them. To quote a co-worker...."butt ugly". If I were into ugly shoes, I'd be buying a pair of SAS sandals. Yes I am vain.

I would throw them away if they were given to me! I will never ever ever ever ever wear a pair of crocs. Ugly!

I have three pairs and love them to wear when I want to just slip a pair on to go outside or to the store or to travel in.... but I just got back from 6 days at WDW and I must say My Nike Shocks were much better to me! It rained a lot so I'm glad I had my crocs when it was raining, but my feet were so wrinkly and started sliding everywhere inside my crocs! I ended up with very sore tootsies! My DH & his twin both had the same problem! I tried putting moleskin on my crocs the next day (it would not stay on my skin) and it was a little better... but then I moved on to my Nike's for the next 4 days- MUCH BETTER! I LOVE my crocs but not for walking all day!

My Huband and his twin brother felt the same! Love them but man after a while you need more arch support and ouch to the rubbing!

I don't own a pair either. I think they are one of the ugliest shoes ever invented. And IMO those "jibit" things they have now to decorate the crocs don't really make them any more attractive.

I've tried on a pair in the store because people said how they were so comfortable...I didn't see what the big deal was :confused3 . I like my flip flops much better.

I am not a guy but I do wear mine with socks at the parks, and I agree with you 100%. After hobbling around from Day One on previous trips on humongous blisters, I too could care less what they look like! I have worn them on two-day trips and now and not a single blister or hotspot! It was a miracle! My back didn't hurt and my knees didn't ache. I am with you...I'd wear them even if they only came in hot pink with polkadots. That's how much better my feet feel too. My DH likes his better without socks, but he wears them with socks to the parks when it is chilly, like in December...and he could care less what they look like too. He laughed at me when I said he should try a pair. Until he put some on! Now he has two pair and wouldn't think of wearing anything else at Disney!

I have a pair and my DDs have two pairs each. Never worn them to WDW and probably won't because I need my tennis shoes for that. However, my DH said they were very ugly and why did I buy them, etc, etc. Well, one day, he slipped mine on to wear outside to do something and ended up with them on for a few hours. Came back inside and wanted to know how soon I could get him a pair, they were that comfortable to him. :)

I have said it before, wouldn't they make your feet sweat. EEEEWWWW.

on the planet Earth who does not own a pair of Crocks. I don't even plan on owning a pair in the near future. They look comfortable but they are not for me. My kids don't ans will also not be owning a pair any time soon. They don't even know what they are.

HECK NO!! I hate any footware that doesn't have laces. It feels like extra work to walk. I'm the guy with the golfers tan. The only skin not tanned are my feet and my left hand. This leads to bad burns on my feet when I go barefoot at the beach. :rotfl2:

definately not alone. they are sssooo ugly!!!!! I just can't do it to myself. I just wear nice tennis shoes and they are comfy and great at the parks. no one in my family has them either...just....not for us...I refuse to give in to something "fashionable" just b/c. i know some ppl really wear them to help their feet, but SOME people wear them just b/c everyone else is...and I don't do that
