Am I the only one worrying about....

...that killer flu that's affecting lots of countries in the world?

It's very scary reading Asian and European newspaper. While CDC here says the flu is only transmitted by close contacts, that's not the case in Asia. In Hong Kong, there are already 13 fatality. Kids got it at school from teacher (2 dead). They are now considering closing all schools. Hospitals and hotels were infected. And now it just spread to housing complex, and business area. It looks more dangerous than Aids. You can die within a week.

It's pretty scary. It can easily be NYC. And I was suprised that news here are not even mentioning about this.

We have had people die here in Canada and one local hospital is now shut down with an outbreak affecting Doctors and Nurses.They are telling anyone who even visited or dropped off anything/anyone at that hospital recently that they must be quaratined.

Worried here.

My son's best friend is a transfer student at Hong Kong University this year. He is not finished with classes till June! My son was thinking about going over there for l semester but changed his mind. I am glad he didn't go.

I have read many news reports of this flu in our local paper. I live in a major medical community, so maybe it's getting more local coverage here than average.
