Am I the only one who really digs "3 Caballeros" because...

I love the ride. It is so relaxing going by the restaurant on one side and the volcano on the other (and I always want some chips and salsa when I pass that restaurant) and I also love the ending scene with the fireworks. I miss the music of El Rio de Tiempo but still enjoy the Three Caballeros overlay.

We loved this ride from the first time we went on it; it matched the pool at our resort (ASMu). Now we go on it at least twice in a row every time.

I missed the movie in the 80s (too old!) but is there a connection to a wartime movie made in the 40s? (I'm too young for that but we show it at my school at the beginning of special assemblies sometimes.)

The Three Caballeros was released in 1944 as part of Disney's films that were themed to Central and South America (Saludos Amigos was another of these films). It was a group of 7 shorts linked together with the plot of Donald Duck opening gifts for his birthday from friends like Brazilian parrot José Carioca and Mexican rooster Panchito Pistoles.
