Am I the only one who got free dining and AAA discount?

I've read comments on another thread that it was one discount or another but not both. My AAA agent didn't mention that to me, in fact she commented on how many of these packages she's booked since the free dining came out. Anybody else out there besides me?? I am starting to get paranoid and will be calling to confirm with AAA tomorrow. Yikes.

The best way to confirm is to go to the disneyworld.com website and price it yourself

The discounts cannot be combined what happened is that some people that are going before August 28 and staying in a moderate or value resort are getting the value season rate on the hotel even though it is normally regular season. This is something that Disney did for this plan to avoid people splitting their reservation due to the change in season

When we booked in June through AAA, the price went up when we mentioned the free dining. I checked prices through AAA, WDW, and several "WDW" travel agents and came up with the same price.

Disney doesn't allow combination of discounts, no matter who you go through

I had to give up my AAA discount to get the free dining. They would not let me use both. Let us know what happens.

Nope. Even booking with AAA, to get free dining you have to pay rack rate on the rooms. It is still a savings, just not as much as getting both discounts would have been :-(

Had to give up my cast discounted room for my kids in order to get the free dining. The free dining was still a better deal, because the kids were staying at Pop. Had they been staying with us at the CR, I would have had to do some serious number crunching.

I got the free dining AND a AAA discount on my AKL concierge room in September. I'll go check my paperwork again, but I'm 100% sure I did.

If you did that is great - but you weren't supposed to. I would check your total vs the Disney website pricing on this same package

Rowlf, Disney will not do both discounts. It is either a AAA discount, or the free dining. There was not a way to combine those. You should check your rates...I'd be willing to bet your rate is the same as booking it through Disney directly.

I am paying $438 and change for 3 nights at a value at the end of August with 2 adults and 1 child (and 2 infants). One day base passes are included as well as the free dining. My documents haven't arrived yet. They should appear same time as my agent does...next week. ugh. Sure sounds like I got some sort of discount, doesn't it?

What day are you checking in? The offer starts August 21 but officially "value" season doesn't start until August 28. It seems that Disney is throwing folks a bone and giving the "value" season rack rate for the entire duration of this offer, even if you are actually in "regular" season.

Looks like this is what you are getting - 3 nights in value season plus one day tix for 2 adults, 1 child comes to $438.34. If you checked 3 nights in regular season, it would be higher. It's not the 20% off AAA discount, but bettter than nothing!

That is the same rate that is on Disneyworld.com right now with the free dninng. You did not get an additional discount with AAA. As it has been said over and over and over again the discounts cannot be combined

What you received is the dining for free that is your discount. If you were to purchase the dining plan for your family for 3 nights it would normally cost $240 so that is what you are saving. No additional discount because you went through AAA
