Am I the only one who doesn't like....

No flames please, it is ok if you like them, but am I the only one who does not like the dole whips? I tried one for the first time in December and I not only hated it, I trashed it. Just wondering if I am all alone since they seem so popular.

I tried one for the first time on my last trip. I ended up throwing mine away too. I just didn't like it.

I wasn't crazy about it either. It was ok. On a hot day its refreshing, but I wouldn't wait in a long line for another one.

I had the pineapple-vanilla kind (I think that's what it was!) and I ate it, but I guess I just don't like pineapple flavored ice cream! Pineapple ice cream just doesn't taste good to me, sorry! I read so many raves here about how the dole whips refreshes you, but to each their own, I guess! I remember that as I was eating it, I wished I had a vanilla-chocolate swirl ice cream instead!

Good. At least I am not alone. It was just so sweet and fake flavored. I know lots of people love them. I was so excited to try it and it was my first stop in MK. Oh well, there is plenty other treats I love. My fav is school bread from Norway!

Another poster said to sweet? Wow, now I am wondering if they make the actual pineapple dole whip mix. Because, mine tasted as though, it was not sugary enough. More acidic than sweet to me.

I wasn't impressed... course they aren't unique, they have them at the state fair every year so we had them growing up but didn't know it was the same thing until we got one last trip due to rave reviews here. A lot of times things taste better because they are unique to the World but don't seem as special or good when you can get them other places...

DH liked the pineapple juice but we wouldn't bother buying a dole whip again.

I love pineapple and couldn't wait to try my first Dole whip. I thought it might be too much pineapple so i bought the twist. I didn't like it at all and i to thought it was to acidic. One treat i can mark off on my list.

I've been to WDW over 40 times and I never seen them.

I do like the frozen lemonade at the Dino stand in MGM. I think they sell these at EPCOT too.

Dole Whips are awful.

After reading about them here I HAD to have one. It ended up in the trash. (this was during our fiirst trip)

Our second trip I HAD to have a beaver tail. Yuck again. My son wouldn't even eat it. I should have just requested a cup of strawberry topping and whip cream since that was the only part we enjoyed.


Our third trip I HAD to have the school bread. We each took one bite then looked for a trash can.

I tried one last trip (skipped the citrus swirl for it) and didn't like it! I'll stick to the citrus swirl, love that one!

I don't hate Dole Whips. They are kind of tasty. But no tastier than the soft-serve that can be found 1,000,001 other places.

I'm convinced the whole Dole Whip thing is a big joke thought up by early members of THE DIS. You know how you can look up, and then watch as other people look up too? Well, the early DIS members decided to praise over and over how AMAZING this very ordinary desert is, just to see how many other people they could get to say the same thing. So far, it's working.
