Am I the only one who doesn't like Sponge Bob?

I think I am the only one on the planet who doesn't think Sponge Bob Square Pants is funny. I have tried several times, but I just don't see what the big deal is about. I guess he's OK for kids, but to me he's just an annoying, talking cleaning product with no humor value.

Is there anybody else here who doesn't like Sponge Bob?

I don't get him either. I prefer that my kids don't watch him, but it is better than Ed. Edd, and Eddie.

I don't like him at all nor do I let my kids watch him. However, even the three year old knows who he is and I don't know HOW!! Very annoying to have him yelling out in Target--Hey! There's Spongebob!! Like he watches the show every day. I want credit for my strict parenting!! LOL

We took our kids to see the movie, and they thought it was funny. He's okay for a short period of time. We don't have cable, so they don't watch the show. My 4 year old is obsessed with the Burger King toys though.

my kids love spongebob. I'm not crazy about him. I don't dislike him, but I just don't see the attraction.

I will only allow DD to watch him if I am not in the room. There is a hard rule of NO Spongebob stuff in the house. I will welcome anything else in (Ok, no Teletubbies either) but this sponge freak.

No real problem with him per se, but this past weekend some cartoon channel was having a marathon and I ended up watching like 4 hours of him with my 2 yr old nephew. I finally had to turn him off because I was seriously wondering if it was possible to go clinically brain dead from too much Spongebob exposure...

My 3yo knows who he is but doesn't really watch him. I did turn it on the other day for him. It was the only thing on and we weren't at the TIVO tv. Some "bully" was telling spongebob that he was going to kick his butt. Fortunately, my son said that wasn't nice. They must have used that phrase 20 times the rest of the episode. I actually thought it was kind of funny, but will probably not be letting DS watch it again. The last thing I need is him running around saying "I'm gonna kick your butt". Oh can you imagine.

I just about died laughing at the Muscle Bob Buff pants episode and the Jellyfish doing disco one....they are old...but I haven't laughed that hard at a cartoon in a long time.

I don't care for Sponge Bob at all. We didn't go see the movie. Saw all the others, at least once or twice, but no SB Movie.
