Sometimes when surfing the boards I intentionally look for the little "padlock" that indicates a locked thread. Those are usually the best ones to read...I love a little conflict once in a while!

I do it. I'm sometimes surprised by the locking though (and I'm surprised that some others DON'T get locked). Still figuring all that out.

I always thought there should be a "search" feature for locked threads.

Sometimes I like to look at the last page of a thread whose title appears innocuous, but it has many many pages of replies...just to see if it went bad. But that's only on slow news days.

Seriously, I love a good serious discussion, but those are the ones that usually end up heated.

Most of the times the locked threads make no sense whatsoever because the more heated posts get completely deleted.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen a locked thread in a couple of weeks..then again I haven't been around as much.
