For my last trip I planned what I was going to wear each day while I was packing, sorting my clothes by day. Does anyone else cordiante their outfits for were they're going to be each day?

And I'm not just talking about making sure I'm packing nicer tops for the signature restaurants, like for instance; when I eat at the princess meals, I wear one of my princess shirts, when I eat at CP, I wear a Pooh shirt, and when I'm at MGM, I wear my sorcerer Mickey shirt. I also then cordinate my Crocs, so the color at least kind of matches what I'm wearing.

A trick when doing this is to start with a basic color that you can then mix and match. That way you don't have to bring a lot of extra accessories for each "outfit".

We do this as well. Not my DH as much since he really just rolls out of bed and throws on whatever (he's in for a surprise on our next trip!!) My boys always wear matching outfits (not only cute but if anything ever happens, I already have a description of the outfit). I try to plan my outfits to similar colors or something to the boys to help them recognize me if we split up or have to run to the potty or something. It also helps DH to spot me as well.

no, we go for three weeks and do laundry by day 3 ! :)

I did on our last trip. I really didn't want to overpack, since our car was going to be super tight for space. So I decided ahead of time what I was going to wear every single day, and packed a couple of extras just in case something happened or I wanted to wear something different when I got there. I only ended up taking about 4 pairs of shorts, and about 10 shirts for an 8-day trip. I was proud of myself! :)

Yes, that's the way I pack. I try not to overpack and have been known to even plan out my DH's outfits and pack them as well. On our last vacation (5 night cruise) he packed himself without any of my help and was short clothes. I was just laughing at him and told him that I guess it means that on our next trip I'll just have to go back to packing him  . He finally agreeded that my packing skills are just more refined.

For our upcoming WDW vacation, I am going to try to match colors for shirts (even my DH) but will probably not wear the same shirts unless I find ones for my DD and I in the Disney Store before our trip that match. My 3 yr. old still likes to match her Mommy :lovestruc

I try to coordinate everything as I pack. When I didn't, it always seemed I forgot something important.

OMG yes!! I actually spend hours doing this. I'll lay out ALL the tops that I might want to wear and all the shorts/skirts. Then I'll try to match a top with a bottom for each day and I HAVE to try them on together to make sure I like it. And of course I have to vary my colors from day to day. Like I can't wear two blue shirts two days in a row or jeans shorts two days in a row. (Usually, it's just 18 different colored Old Navy tanks that need to be paired with shorts!) And then the park that I'm going to might play a role in which outfit to wear (like AK requires a certain "look.") So then if my itinerary changes, I have to start all over again because one change may screw up the whole plan!

Yes, I'm a little OCD! But it's all part of the fun of getting ready!!

I plan like this for myself and my daughter. I put my DD8 clothes in individual ziploc bags. It makes dressing each day easy, I tell her to grab the bag and everything is ready to go:)

I sort of did this before this year. BUT now with the airline limiting us to one bag each  NOW I am going to HAVE to do this.

I have packed DS9 clothes in the ziplock bags before and that works great! But he is getting to old and big now for me to do that (with bigger clothes.
:( ).

I plan ahead for DD and myself, based on where we'll go that day so it looks good in pictures (I scrapbook, so I think my mind just naturally color-coordinates). For example, we'll wear brown and earthy colors for an AK day, pastel colors for MK. DD even gets coordinated for the waterparks- an icy blue suit for BB day and a brown and coral suit for TL day!
I'm stange, I know. No one but me has a clue (until now)... DH would think I'm NUTS!!!! But I always do it for DD without anyone noticing. It just so happens that the scrapbook looks great when she's wearing a red sweatshirt while apple picking and a rusty orange one when pumpkin picking! :rolleyes1

I do this for DS, but he's 3. I just think it makes for some cute pictures when he's got on a safari themed shirt at AK or something like that.

I do this for all five of us. My oldest DD16 goes over it with me ahead of time for her shirts. I plan on washing half way through and try not to have anyone wear the same shirt twice at the same park. It's too confusing in the pictures:rotfl2:

Actually I've already done this for our December trip:lmao:

Yep, I'm a planner!!

I have never done that but it sounds like fun. After all the effort Disney puts in to creating a theme, I no longer want to ruin it by wearing an Epcot shirt at MK.

I definitely do this! It's great when we have to get up super early to do morning EMH and I don't want to waste time trying to decide what to wear.

To some degree, yes. If I have packed a park specific shirt, I wear it on the proper day. Matching ball cap too. For larger family trips, we've done the matching thing with brightly colored or fun tops. One year my sisters and I wore Mickey "I'm with Goofy" tees and gave our dad a Goofy shirt. Looked cute when we took pictures with Mickey and Goofy at DHS. :)

I am thrilled to learn that I am not the only one who considers matching outfits for family members and potential scrapbook pages when packing. My family has been making fun of me for years!

i have a problem. i make a list of what clothes im gonna wear for what day. we're leaving in about 2 months and i have already starting thinking of what im gonna bring.
