Books a trip to WDW making a room only reservation (with a AAA discount)then goes on the hunt for some sort of bargain for a package deal that will save me more? Got an e-mail code after ordering my vacation planning DVD but the dates didn't match mine and I already booked airfare.
Still hunting and hoping for some other code or special to be announced.

No, we always look for the best deal. The codes out there for room only expire May 21. There is the free dining, with no room discount, for the end of Aug through Sept 20. Keep looking. We are waiting for the end of Sept and first week in Oct. We should have booked on the bounce back offer when we were in WDW last Sept. That free dining was a week past the current offer.

Kind of. I often end up with a AAA rate for at least part of a trip.....but I usually wait to book until I know if other codes are available for my time period. I don't usually book outside the 6month mark.

Yes. I have booked a room only with a AAA discount. I am hoping a Disney Visa code or some other code comes out for a package deal. There's always hope and a little pixie dust never hurts! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Nope, your not the only one. We always book our room with whatever discount is available at the time just to secure the room....you can always call back closer to your date with any other new discount available and they can adjust your reservation for you. popcorn::

For our trip next month, I booked with a AAA discount, then changed it to an AP rate when those came out, then changed it to the room-only code, which was higher than the AP rate, but came out to be a little cheaper overall out of pocket since I didn't have to buy the AP. Then I changed it to a package and added tix and dining. My husband swears we won't even have a room when we get there because I've changed it so many times. ;)

So to answer your question, no. You are not alone.
