Am I the only one underwhelmed by the Mine Train?

Ride-wise, I totally agree: Universal blows Disney out of the water.

I always felt that the parks were geared to two different demographics. If I didn't still have a small child, I don't know if we would still be going to WDW. She would probably be scared to death of most of the Universal rides. So I think Disney knows who they are designing for.

Woody Woodpeckers Kidzone, Toon Lagoon, Jurassic Park, and Seuss Landing could probably keep little kids occupied for much of the day. But one thing we noticed and appreciated was the much-fewer presence of strollers in the parks.

Does anyone know if it can be ridden while pregnant?? Only 12 weeks... I can't find any restrictions against it.??

It was always described as a family coaster so that's what I expected. I also heard to sit in the last car so that's what I requested and I loved it! The second time I was assigned to the second to last car and I thought that was "close enough" to the back that it'd be just as fun. I was wrong. I was pretty let down on that ride.

I thought it was fairly lame the first time we rode it , but liked it more the second and third time I rode it. Sit in the back for a better ride. We had FP+ for it twice and waited in line at midnight when the park was open until 1:00 am. I liked the queue so I'm glad we waited in line. It was listed as 65 minutes and was not even 25 minutes long.

Yeah, definitely ask if you could be in the back. The first time I rode it, I was also underwhelmed (I was in the second row). The second time I rode it, I got in the last car - totally different experience. The back swings more and you feel the dips more (kinda like Big Thunder - much better in the back of the ride vehicle).

I wonder if the fact that when we rode it there was a torrential downpour happening (no clue why they didn't stop the ride from going out...it was raining buckets before we boarded) and then after going around in the rain it stopped next to the cottage in the deluge from above for a good 2 minutes, perhaps colored my lack of enthusiasm for the ride?

To read about it on here and the way FP+ go, I'd think it was the second coming.

Well, I had a FP+ for this past Friday and rode it. It was cute, don't get me wrong, but I don't get all the hype about it. I'd do it again with a FP+ (wouldn't kill myself to get it though) or if the wait was maybe 20 minutes, but definitely not the 70 minutes we saw and definitely not setting an alarm clock to get up at midnight to book one again IMHO (I happened to randomly wake up the day my window opened so I booked it with all these second coming sunbeams streaming from it).

So am I the only one who rode it and basically thought "Meh"?
