Am I the only one that had a bad time in Disney????

Trying to sum this thread up:

We all run into rude/poorly trained CMs at times at WDW. However,
WDW doesn't corner the market on rude employees. As I said in
my previous post, the good/excellent CMs far outnumber the
poor ones. This isn't an excuse - WDW should strive to be as
customer service oriented as possible.

I agree, the only one who can ruin my vacation is me.... I guess I can
allow someone else to ruin my vacation if I choose to......

WDW/Disney Corporation is not perfect - but they should strive to be as
close to that as possible.

Folks, after all we've been through in this country, I think that now, more
ever, we should be grateful that we have this kind of stuff to be
"complaining" about. I love WDW, and I hope it learns from its mistakes, and
continues to strive toward being the "happiest place on earth".

Sounds like most of us who have had some bad experiences are still
willing to give WDW another chance - I know I am. I have had a
wonderful time every time (3 times).

One last thought - it's so easy to make judgements on other people's posts,
and send "zingers". I've been guilty of it myself. Maybe if we just
hesitate before hitting the send button, and think it through a little more, we
might have some even more enlightening threads......

Thanks :D

Candylover I was not really replying to your post in the first part of my reply I was talking to the person who responded saying they interviewed cast members.

I am so glad to hear that you were respectful of the rules at Disney and booked 2 rooms. When I was taking about the fireworks I was just telling you how to find them. I wasn't angry or upset I was just talking. Without a tone in your voice you can often take things out of context.

As I said before we have had a perfectly awful experience in the past but tried again. Glad we did and are going back again. This was just my opinion. I agree that this is what the board is for!

I did not think they were joking about the death at the Contemp. I was wondering where they got all of their info and how they came about interviewing Cast Members. Not terrior it was TERROR as in terrorism. When they said that some of the Cast Members had said they jokingly hoped things would happen to Disney. I personally didn't find the need for the comment and did not find it funny.

You are perfectly entitled to express your and I found it interesting to read. All I was doing was trying to respond with some more postive responses and show another point of view! I am honestly not upset and don't really need a breath but thank you for the reply!:)

Is every trip I take to WDW perfect? Nope, not by a long shot.

Do I have a blast every trip? Absolutely.

I've been to WDW twice since 9/11. On the first trip in October, the CMs were wonderful. We were thanked many times for not cancelling our plans. We had fun, even though it rained every day, all day. :(

We went back for a few days in January. We had a wonderful time (January is our favorite time to go) but I did notice that the restrooms weren't quite as clean as usual and the CMs weren't quite as chipper. I thought to myself, "they're having a rough time...people are losing their jobs and there's a lot of uncertainty." What I didn't do was stress out about the lack of Disney quality and magic. It was there, if you chose to look past human reactions to times of turmoil.

I travel frequently during the off season, and am used to early closing times. MK closed at 6:00 while we were there. It's typical, and I plan accordingly.

candylover, I respect your right to your opinion totally!

I loved your comment about "take a deep breath"LOL

I get the biggest kick out of the Fan----s who just can't help but get all stirred up about negative comments about WDW or Disney corporation in general!

I LOVE Disney, but I also hate their dark side!

I hope you keep posting & enjoy the boards, WELCOME!

:) Hello All and Disneypal( my new Disney PAl)

No harm done...
Writing instead of voice can be misunderstood by all
including me.

I love the boards and I will stay with all of you. Its alot
of fun. You are all so nice here.

Enough said.

:p :D :) :jester: :)

Don't forget that it takes magic to make magic. On those very few occasions when I've encountered a "less than magically happy" CM, it doesn't cost me anything extra to be nice. I've been known to smile at an obviously rude, cranky CM and say "Have a Disney Day". Sure, some of them look at me like I'm nuts (and I suspect I am), but if I make one person's day a little happier, my day has been worthwhile.

Candylover, glad things have all been worked out and we are spreading the word about Disney! We leave in 8 days for the Boardwalk Inn. I will post my review when we get back and I will be expecting to hear from you on what I have had to say.

In the past I can't tell you how much info I have gotten from these boards. Our trips would not have been the same without all of the input.

;)
