man....I was playing Toy Story Mania with Dnephew yesterday and I hurt my back. It hurts so much that I called out of work today so I can go to the chiropractor! I'm just glad they didn't ask how I hurt myself....that would have been embarrasing

Am I the only one that got hurt playing a video game??:headache: :rolleyes1

I use the Wii Fit and Just Dance and YES, the old lady has to use epsom salt baths to come back to life sometimes! :lmao:

When we first got ours a few years ago for Christmas we played it so much during the week off that my body ached in places I didn't even know it could  I also remember that year there were stories in the newspaper about Wii injuries at the ER, so no you are definitely not the only one :)

My hand is quite sore from TSM! Also, my shoulder is often sore when we do Wii Sports marathons on weekends -- bowling and boxing are particularly bad! I've started taking ibuprofen right after playing!

Hang in there.

Robin..I know that feeling all too well!:lmao:This more like a pinched nerve...if I m ove a certain way (okay, ANY way) I get an awful stabbing pain in my upper left back, can't take a deep breath and was up half the night in pain. DH says as he is helping me get up out of bed this morning" no more Wii for you"

I get a sore elbow if I play tennis or baseball on it. Not as bad as your back, but I feel it for a couple hours afterwards.

Yep, I threw my back out playing Wii Fit Boxing last year. I felt like the world's biggest dope trying to explain that one to the doctor. I ended up in physical therapy!!!!

I just started using Wii Fit again (without boxing!). It kindly reminded me it had been 209 days since I last used it.

When i started using my balance board and wii fit I pulled something! I couldn't straighten my right leg for a week!

Also, my daughter was playing baseball and cranked me in the head with the baseball bat. That was fun.

I did something to my calf while playing the balance games of all things, it took months for it to heal. I've tweaked, my back, shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle...:rolleyes1 I wake up sore the next day after playing but I can't stop, lol!

When my father was in the hospital, one of his roommates was a guy who thought he had a heart attack. Turns out he likely pulled something while playing Wii. I jacked up my knees with that stupid Wii Fit since it doesn't allow you to wear tennis shoes.

I broke my index finger !! I was trying out a Wii that belonged to a co-worker. As I went to hit a killing backhand in tennis, I smashed my finger into a bookcase.

I haven't played since.

oh YES!

I cannot use the Wii barefoot, as my plantar facsiitis flares up - learned that the hard way!

OP, :rotfl:

I, too, injured myself playing Toy Story Mania! I used muscles I'm not use to using and I could hardly move the next day and the day after that!:lmao:

I got the silly thing for my grandkids. They said, "Grandma, help us do the hammer thing". That alone, almost did me in!;)

My wrist aches for a few days after doing TSM. What really gets me sore is the sword games on Wii Resort. Sometimes we spent a weekend playing that game and I can barely walk to get to work on Monday because my back and arms are so sore.

The first time we got the Wii we have friends over. One of them was playing and forgot the little tie you put around your wrist. I forgot what game it was, but my friend was playing it intensly and *sssssssshhhhh-crash* the remote went flying and hit a light. I was so annoyed but understood.

yeah i've gotten hurt using the Wii, also.

i've been doing the Wii Fit lately, so my body is a bit used to it now.

altho if i go and play baseball or bowling my arms will kill me for a few days!

back from the chiro...feeling a little better! He laughed when I told him and said his wife does that all the time too:laughing:

I've had sore arms from TSM before but I have never had this much of an injury before! It happened at the end of the alien part when you have to move the Wii remote in a circle motion...somehow that screwed my back up :confused3

Thanks for sharing...at least I know I'm not the only one! :lmao:
