I am worried that I am missing something. We are staying at the POR March 7-11 for $159 a night (room only) tax included AAA discount. Is there some code out there somewhere where I can get the room cheaper? I am so new to this game and I hate to miss a bargin.

i am paying 169 standard for the end of march. no AAA discount was left. although, we did make our ressies last week!

We just booked POR with the AAA discount for regular season, 4/22-4/29 for $126.00. :cheer2:

I'm paying $114/night from March 12-18 but that's with the BDP code which has expired. Sorry! :(

I booked my ressies last week. I'm staying at POFQ March 4 - March 11 for $104/night. I just called and asked for a quote with whatever discounts they could offer.

There are post cards floating around for $ 79.00 for POR

when i booked for our honeymoon for POR it was $149 per nite for 6 nites we were quoted $996

we are getting AAA and the total will be $848 for 6 nites. we are getting AAA as a backup incase we dont get a code from disney

getting married at wilderness lodge may 21, 2005!!!!!!

I am paying $79/night, but that is a FL resident rate. $159 seems really high to me, but if you cannot get any type of discount code, I guess that is what the regular rate is!

I currently have a room only booked for $149 plus tax. This is for June which is regular season.

I will not stay there if I do not get the AP code. We will downgrade to a value before paying that much.

I was quoted $143 a night for the same wk at POR w/ a AAA discount. You might want to call back and see if any other promos apply right now and continue checking as well. I thought it was high too! :sunny:

When we stayed there that is about what we paid -- $79 or something close. Typically we pay only a little more than the $159/night for savannah view at AKL. I would not pay that much for POR, but like Mugsymagoos said, if that's the rate, that's the rate!

I ended up with $156.10 (tax included) at POR for May 8-16. That is the AAA rate for a "waterview" room. Wow...I really hope a discount code comes out!!

I think it also depends on how many nights you stay to. I need two nights only for Mar 4 & 5th and I get the same response each time I call(which has been about 5 times).

I would definately call to see if there are any better deals..we have stayed at POR and it is nice but I don't think that the rooms would be worth $159.00 a night IMHO.

First - thanks to all who responded. I called reservations and was told if I don't know of any discounts, they don't either. Mad4Mickey, how did you get that postcard code? Do you have to have the actual postcard to get the discount? I think I'm stuck w/ the $159. :(

I'm paying the same price ($159.40) per night for my weddingmoon in April. I thought this was high also!

Postcards are sent randomly. The way I figure it just get on every single disney mailing list, and you will eventually get something. I was lucky enough to get a email for our last trip.

The stipulation (sp?) about these postcards and emails are they have specific codes on them and are only good for the recipient. Basically it means its NON-transferable.

You can always call CRO and ask if you have any codes attached to your name. If say you lost your postcard or trashed your email, they would have a note in the computer saying that they sent one to you.

Sorry the news isn't the best.
But good luck planning your trip!
