Am I overplanned?

I can't do 3 formal meals a day so IMO this is too much.
That being said I completely ignore medicos' belief that we should all eat breakfast, LOL.
Got that off my chest so now off to how you eat;).
Since your research has shown you that breakfast will give you an edge on park entrances keep them but think about less TS lunches. I can't say anything about your MK lunches since I rarely eat in that park.
HTH.

I think this is where I landed. I don't feel bad about the breasts schedule-wise because they're PPO and I know those are the parks I want to be in those mornings. They're where our fastpasses will be. I partly chose BOG for SDMT, but partly because I want to see the castle. Garden Grill I have less strong feelings about, but we'll be in future world that morning anyway so it's not like other food options will abound until into the afternoon so that may be just as well. I may Chef's de France back a bit more to put us in that part of the park for fireworks since we're staying at BWV so it'll put us close to our exit and it sounds like we can see the show just fine from that area of the park (if it's still the show by then)? I've wanted to eat at Sci Fi for months and my friend seemed super interested in 50's Primetime so those would be tricky to move. I guess I need to see if she really wanted do that restaurant or just sounded excited because I mentioned it. lol. I was trying to time it to be able to see Fantasmic but it seems like that wasn't realistic. And then then, yeah, I got up at 5am on a Saturday to get that Ohana and BOG reservations at those times so they can pry those reservations from my cold dead fingers. haha

Ohana I'm excited about that food. Epcot I'm mainly excited about the world showcase food. Magic Kingdom I'm just trying to find a comfortable place to sit and not have all bad food all the time. The Grand Floridian tea, it's mainly because my friend collects tea pots...a common friend actually suggested it. May just see how we feel since that's our "rest day" because it does lock us into a schedule.

This was really helpful. Thanks!

Personally, looking at this makes my wallet hurt lol. I would try to cut out a few TS.

I believe that it totally depends on how you eat when you are at home. Do you eat 3 meals a day? My family does. ( I haven't been, since my ulcer, breakfast sounds and feels nasty.) But everyone will have lunch, be it a taco salad, sandwich and chips or topped baked potato. Then we have dinner. Generally dinner is meat, veggie and either another veggie or a starch. So three meals a day is normal.

Your original plan would have worked for us.

Keep in mind, you don't have to order apps, an entree and dessert at every table service restaurant. You can have apps and dessert or just an entree.

I am planning all TS after parks, we hate eating a big meal then going out to the parks. I agree with other posters that its a ton of food. Ive taken half my burger home from Sci-Fi, it was huge.

I have family members with food allergies so we tend to eat all 3 meals TS. We space things out and eat a lighter lunch so it works out fine. Also, the time spent at lunches and dinners is our time to relax and recharge.

My family often books two ADR's per day, but not every day. We like a PPO breakfast in Epcot, it gives us an edge there. We have booked TH in DAK< however it was not that much of a jump start, so not worth it to us. BOG breakfast can be a bit of a head start, so if you wnat to see the inside of the Castle, book it. If not, maybe book lunch. It is pretty, and the food is good.

If your only reason for PPO breakfast is to give you an edge, I would drop them all.

I would move Chefs to dinner, keep both Sci Fi and 50's in DHS. You can share those meals and have plenty of food, a nice break and see them both.

In MK Skippers was my daughter's family favorite meal. I would keep it. Again you do not need to order three courses.

I don't know why people say 1 TS meal per day is too much food. We eat three times a day at home, so vacation is no different. We may not book three, but we do eat. We like having a scheduled break (when I say we, I mean me) because it is way too easy to get carried away with "one more attraction" before we eat and by the time we stop I am a mess.

My DD and DSIL do not want lunches booked this trip, but not because they do not want the break. They have discovered the world of DIsney snacks, and since all of our trips have some focus, the snacks are on this year's schedule. Apparently we have missed a lot of good ones because Mom's need to hit TS restaurants filled them up! LOL!

I also suggest that if you are really not sure how you will feel, book your meals. You can drop them if you find you are too restricted. Or since there are only two of you, book the ones you know you really want wing it for the rest. YOu can check the AP to see what is open when you are getting ready to eat, and turn it into an adventure. SOme of our best meals were booked on the fly.

That’s a good point. We probably can book some things on the fly if we need to. Plus, my friend needs to be introduced to the Dole Whip. I haven’t had one myself in 20 years (forgot the last couple of times) but I remember loving it.

I definitely don’t see us ordering 3 course meals all the time. I normally just do an entree unless there’s just a “must have” specialty dessert or appetizer.

I definitely think we may change stuff around once we get down there and see how we feel and see what crowds are like. Especially on our rest day. I think those plans will hinge on weather and how we feel. If it’s sunny and warm and we’re exhausted a pool day might make more sense than Disney Springs, I think?

i think this looks great. You have a lot of wonderful picks here. We are doing sci-fi and PT on the same day as well since my family couldn’t decide between them. Your PPO breakfasts look good, Tusker House doesn’t give you any advantage as everyone heads to Pandora first thing so the safari isn’t busy. The hours for MK May change so you could lose your PPO advantage there.

Dole Whip!!! My little friend Rylee loved that "yellow ice cream" LOL!!! I regret that we did not go back for another one for her. They just do not taste the same if you get them locally....must have them in DISNEY!!!!
