Am I on to Something for AP RATES?????????

I guess I know now that if I ever have a great CM experience I better not post the CM's name for fear that someone might report him.

Sadly, this is very true. I never, ever post the name of a CM who I think did something "special" for me. I make sure they know I appreciate what they did, but I don't do it publicly on these boards. You just never know....:(

I don't like the practice of placing multiple reservations, but there's such a thing as taking it too far. Not to mention the fact that WDW is perfectly capable of stopping it if they choose to and I believe they are. At any rate, they don't need me doing their job for them. At least for me, making long distance phone calls and informing WDW of what is or isn't said on an internet discussion board is over the edge.

Just for information I started booking my May,03 stay in September,02. I have a garden view at CR. The booking in Sept was 293.00 with tax. Since Sept,02 I have used three different codes where my reservation now is 166.00 per night including tax. Yes, I too am waiting for the May,03 AP rates to see if I can lower it even more, but at 166.00 including tax I am happy.

Now, in all the three times i have changed my reservaiton using codes, I have never had to make a new reservation, or had to pay a fee to change. Each and every time the CM was very nice, at CRO, he/she changed my existing reservation using the new code, kept any credit on my reservation (which is now a 98.00 credit) and I have kept my same reservation number.

So, as you can see, my experience with CRO has been wounderful.

Let's hope the AP codes come out soon and that they are a little better then the current codes.

Everybody have great trips.

When I first read that >>^..^<< had called CRO I was a little shocked because really, do you or does anyone else really care if someone else holds 2 reservations!?!

...I then noticed that the post also said that the CRO manager is now looking for the CM who gave out this information. This is really unbelievable! It's one thing to call and ask about a policy, but it's completely different to rat out an employee who was simply trying to help a customer.

I certainly don't care if someone holds more than one reservation. I have more important things to worry about in my life! And, I certainly hope that CM doesn't get in trouble for trying to be helpful.

Hi there... the reason I called was because just maybe I was incorrect. I offered to apologize to the originating poster after checking with CRO directly.

P.S. I never offered the name of the reservationist - only asked the superviser about CM's advising guests to book Florida resident rates when they do not live in Florida...

He asked me if I knew who had said that so he could explain to them that is not permitted. I only told him the name when he asked and also explained I was not even sure that was the correct name. I sincerely doubt it would go any further than that.

Though I still feel that calling CRO is extreme as I don't care whether or not people have multiple reservations, it doesn't even compare to 'telling on' a Disney CM. Even if you found out the OP was right so you could apologize (which essentially, he is right, since they said you could hold multiple reservations for different hotels/check-in dates), that still doesn't help the poor CM who risks action being taken against him for helping a customer. For me it's not work risking someone else's job, especially during this poor economic time, just so I can say I'm right.

i would have never give a CMs name to a supervisor, especially if they were trying to be helpful.the only way i would give out a name is if i was calling or writing to praise someone for their help.

I simply cannot believe that someone would actually call CRO and report what was being discussed on the internet. If not for these boards and hints, alot of people would not be able to make the multiple trips.

As for the person doing the reporting, you really went over the line. You certainly did not have to bring someone's name into it. Geesh, some people certainly have too much time on their hands to be doing something so insane.

Even if that CM was trying to be helpful that sure was some poor information he was giving out and should be corrected.

Someone new to these boards reading that info might have assumed it was O.K. to do and not realize the consequences of booking such a rate when not a Fl. resident.:(
