Am I nuts?

We are going down to So Cal the 28th of December. We are staying up in the Burbank area to go to the rose parade. We have an extra day on Friday the 29th and since we have AP's we thought we would drive down to DL for the day. Are we crazy? Is it going to be a madhouse cuz it is that Christmas week? Will we even get in if we don't get there right when the park opens?

My daughter's birthday is New Year's eve so I wanted to reserve the happiest birthday at Plaza Inn but what happens if we reserve it and then the park is to capacity and we can't get in? Do they let people with priority seatings in?

Thanks in advance for any info.

I would be willing to go down and just go to DCA too but don't want to make reserverations at Plaza Inn if there is a chance we can't get in.

Since you have an AP, I'd say go for it. Just don't be disappointed with the large crowds and long lines.

You aren't nuts at all because I would be nuts, I am will be there 3 days before Christmas then there on Christmas day....I have myself prepared for long lines and it to be crowded but that's ok, I'll be in DL for Christmas. I'm sure you'll have a ball too and on the positive side, just think me leaving on the 26th that means two less people there the day you get there.

Yeah I am WELL prepared for it to be super crowded and since we are going in November I just look at it as an opportunity for my dad to see all the x-mas decs (he's never been during the holidays) and I figured we would just go on what we can and enjoy the atmosphere and mostly I am going to celebrate dd's b day. Does anyone know if it usually gets to capacity every day during that week?

I am mostly concerned about just getting in esp if we have reservations.

Even if we don't get to go on ANY rides I think it would be fun since we will be there anyway to just go and enjoy the christmas atmosphere.

You know, you could make reservations at the Plaza w/o telling your daughter. Just plan on spending the day at DCA. If you're not able to get into DL for her birthday, then . But if you are, then
