Am I nuts to want 1,000 before I go?

Don't ask me why, but I am now wanting my 1,000 post mark before I leave in 12 days....I really don't want to "cheat" and just "bump" or other such....any ideas? Telling me that I should just go back to packing is also valid :)

Post something controversial. That always works.

I dunno... I think you should intersperse packing with intervals of, maybe, asking questions on various DIS forums. One at a time.

Or see if there's a September 2009 thread and get involved in that. Or scroll through this forum and see if there's any topic about which you feel strongly, and start responding (works best on very active threads ;)).

We all have our little quirks, but yeah, that seems a little strange. Time to focus your attention on your trip. I hope you have a wonderful, magical time!:wizard:

I for one don't think it's nuts...you are excited to be part of a community.

Try going to the games board and posting there: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=133

Or, go to the Theme Parks community board and post pictures on some of the picture threads there.

Whatever floats your boat is fine with me. I suppose the number will make you feel like you have more DIS street cred, Main street that is:lmao: I say so what, go post your thoughts all over the place. Check out the budget boards, stuff is always buzzing over there. Ïeel free to just type in 'subbing' to stuff too, you subscribe to a post , get a count but don't have to say anything meaningful. Considering the number of people that count their days by making other people miserable with mean posts, I think you're little quest is cute. Have a wonderful time:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Suggestions:

1-ask about no kids at a wedding
2-ask if you "cover your plate" when writing the wedding gift check
3-Start a Michael Jackson thread
4-or old WDW standbys: Pool hopping or reusing the refilable mug

;):lmao:

Play some of the games on the Games Board. See if there's a thread about your resort on the Resort Board and ask questions. Ask questions about the restaurants where you have ADR's on the Restaurant Board.

Come on over to the Welcome Board and help say Hi and :welcome: to our newcomers! They also have lots of questions that you can help answer. It isn't "cheating", we love having DISers welcoming others--think of how you felt when you were new. The more the merrier!:cheer2:

ETA: And go to the Trip Report Board and start a pretrip report!

It looks like you need 62 posts in 12 days at this point. That's only about 5 posts a day; that is very possible!

You could write a pre-trip report.

Thanks for the ideas. I like them both and will check them out. For those of you who "confirmed" my insanity, thank you also.....I must not be too bad off, as I'm not convinced that someone who is truly bats would be able to recognize they are missing the taco off their combo plate!;)

tell me where you are staying, how long, how many are going, etc... but do each one in a seperate post please.

Especially this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1274039

Someone there seems to be trying to set a record...

Lol, I noticed that one a few months ago. :scared1: There IS more to life, after all.

And OP, no, I don't think you're nuts. :goodvibes Have a great time on your trip!! The Theme Park boards are great places to a) get even MORE excited about an upcoming trip, and b) up the count a touch.
