We need to be very economical. The "we" is going to be DH, myself, DD 5, DS2 and my parents are also joining us. All along I've assumed we'd get two rooms at a value property. We can go anytime. DS turns 3 in Nov so I wanted to go prior to that as he'd still be free up until then. We are planning Sept 29-Oct 4. value season.

I posted before about the Value resorts (I've only stayed at mods and deluxe, last trip was GF but all sans kids!). A few people mentioned BWI, and the points for timeshares. I checked and BWI and Poly will allow 6 in a suite but those start at really high rates. The time shares also will end up costing a lot more. Am I missing something? We can't do 6 in any standard rooms at any property, right?

NO, before I get flammed I am NOT asking if we can sneak or cheat or do anything against regulation. I'm just wandering IF I am missing something. I do know codes MAY come out but I can not bet on it.

So do we book 2 rooms at a value for around the $77 a night or is there another option in the same price ball park? I am very open to any property just can't spend a lot more.

We are planning to do the MYW hopper and dining. For us the dining will really be a good deal.

if that is what you can afford then go with the two rooms at value resorts.
I might conisder staying outside the park, but with your children being on the younger side, I would option to stay inside.

Can't think of any regular room moderate or deluxe that will hold six.
and quite honestly, with the size of WDW rooms, it is almost impossible to manuever with just 4 people.

take the two rooms, will be worth it

An option could be the Fort Wilderness Cabins if you watch for a good rate. I have paid $139 a night there.

You get a bedroom with a bed and bunk beds (sleeping 4), then a murphy bed in the living room. DH & I slept on murphy bed and found it comfortable so that may work for the grandparents while your family slept in the bedroom. Plus the added perk of a full kitchen really helped keep the meal costs down. We didn't do anything fancy, but kept us down to one meal out per day.

I thought of the cabins too, but I'd still go with 2 rooms at a value. With 4 adults, I'd definitely want 2 bathrooms.

I might be wrong, but I think you can have 6 in a deluxe resort room if one is in a crib. It sounds like it woud be very crowded in there, though.
