Am I missing anything important?

Hi everyone, I've just about finished my intinerary - such as it is - and thought I'd humbly ask for your opinions. Is there anything I've missed? This is our 1st time so would appreciate any comments/criticism (as long as not too harsh!!)

As background I'm travelling with GF and 2 girls, 13 & 16, staying at Port Orleans Riverside for 1 week but not arriving until after 10pm on the 1st Saturday night. I will have a car for the duration as our second week is to be in Naples.

Sunday - MK as early entry - evening to suss out PO Riverside/pools/restaurant and bars and return for fireworks
Monday - AK as early entry - evening and dinner at DTD
Tuesday - Typhoon Lagoon am, shopping pm - dinner at Bill Wongs and evening in the pool
Wednesday - MGM with Fantasmic dinner show in evening as youngests birthday!
Thursday - EPCOT - evening for fireworks
Friday - Revisit any park that we can agree on!
Saturday - leave but drive to Naples.

How does this sound?

And if anyone has any must-do tips for the area around Naples...... Thanks in advance!

Depending on how much they like thrill rides it may be a worthwhile option to add in a day at IOA. This park is really much more aimed at the teens croud with some really TOP rides. As this is your first time in Orlando I think it likely that you ( ok the kids) are likely to want to cover as much of the parks as possible. You will be able to cover quite a lot of the parks as the kids are a little older, if you choose to spend longer in the parks. I would be very tempted to leave Sunday as a whole day at MK going as long as you can and not worry about checking out PO bars and pools, IMHO you wouldn't get a great deal of "checking out" done unless you leave the MK before 5.00 and it seems you have no pool days or time at PO anyway. You do have the whole week in Naples for recovering and pool/beachtime but you're going to find a week in Orlando too little time to cover everything else. Monday, fine start at AK, but I would move to Epcot to eat, take in a couple of rides and the fantastic firework show
Tues TL for the day, One bathroom, 3 women after a day in the sun, sand, chlorine water and you expect to get out quickly ?? I think not LOL . I'd go to DTD as it's close to the hotel and after two relatively late nights and a day in the sun I think you'll be ready for bed.
Weds MGM for the day +Fantasmic
Thursday Choice of park in the morning and finish at Epcot for a nice meal and a few more of the attractions here ( I think 2 slots of 3-4 hours in Epcot is going to be enough for kids of that age, there aren't really that many great rides to interest them and the "cultural" side of Epcot is probably going to strike them as "booooooooooooooring !!"
Friday A change of pace and hit IOA ( this is assuming they enjoyed things like RocknRoller coaster, TOT, Splash and the other more extreme Disney rides) . If not I'd suggest Universal as their rides are, in a different way, as well "themed" as Disney's but maybe appeal to older kids a little more than some of Disney's.

If you're looking for clothes shopping for the kids, they are likely to prefer the Premium Outlet mall as this has the highest concentration of "names" at probably the best prices. For jeans and casual clothes I think World of Denim is pretty good.

You've only got 6 days so you are not going to be able to pack everything in. The increadable size of WDW takes first timers by suprise, even those that have done their homework and read up on things. I can guarantee that you'll find that things (like getting to the parks) takes an extra 30-45 minutes to accomplish. If you add 3 or 4 lots of that on, your plans for example a trip to Billy Wongs are going to be binned or end up VERY LATE. IMHO TL is the best waterpark ( and it would be a shame to miss those out all together) and IOA is by far the best thrill ride park in Orlando and it would be a shame to not try one of the non Disney parks. For the rest it's about getting as much out of Disney as time allows you. It's not going to be easy or relaxing, but you do have the week in Naples to fall back on and by sticking TL into the middle of the week it does break up the major themepark days a little. I would have one night at DTD as there are some interesting shops and it gives you a taste, but the rest of the time I'd eat either in the parks ( Epcot has the best food choices IMHO) or in the hotel, simply for the sake of convenience and time savings.

Oh how true that is Vernon.

I'd agree with Vernon's point about visiting IOA. It's got to be the best park in Orlando for teens. Which Disney park to leave out ? Probably TL.

Well I'm part of an all female group and nobody puts the seat up for me ! Works both ways.

We stayed on Marco Island, about 16 miles south of Naples last year and loved it so much we're back there for 10 more nights this October

There's loads to do . . . where are you staying? Have you been to that area before?

Loads to tell you, but answer the above first before I start whittering away and you already know half of it

Hi Annie

We're staying in north Naples, close to the Vanderbilt hotel (not in it unless I remortgage!!) which is close to the beach where they run visits about the sea turtles so I'm hoping for one of those things where you go out at night and watch them come in to nest!

I've pencilled in airboat ride, manatee watching, shopping etc but wonder what you can tell me about any specific recommendations for the area.
