We are arriving early in the AM on the last day of the Food and Wine Festival, on the 16th. However, I hadn't planned on going to EPCOT until the next day, the 17th.

Would I be missing something really big/neat by not going on the 16th? WIll it really be that noticable of a change from the 16th and the 17th--or will a lot of the booths(?) still be there?

TIA,
Lisa

If you are not interested in missing the food and wine sampling then I wouldn't think you would miss much. I'm sure they will remove the booths if that is the day it ends. How bout "Eat to the Beat", is there a band playing you are interested in. Honestly DH and I loved eating, drinking and the Three Dog Night concerts but my kids would never have stood for waiting in line or listening to two concert sets.

I would not expect the booths to be gone by the 17th. I was at Epcot a few days before the festival and the booths were up in advance. There are a LOT of them and it will take a few days to remove them.

You'll be missing some great food!

We "ate around the world" our fist day at Disney - so many wonderful things to try!

We're just back . . . . and I would say that although the Food & Wine booths are definitely enjoyable, it wouldn't be worthwhile to re-plan your trip around it. It's simply an opportunity to try some different foods and wines that would not normally be available to you.

Now if you happen to be a wine connoisseur (sp?), that might be a different story.

The food and wine festival is great!! We have a fantastic time with our family! The food is not to be missed and my kids will NEVER forget a couple of years ago Pasta Carbonera or something like that...they STILL talk about it!

In my opinion - YES!

Take into account that my former occupation was Chef - so I am a Food lover - To eat it & to cook it. I really get alot out of the F & WF & have gone to it twice (looking forward to going again!)
I really enjoy tha cooking demonstrations & I gather so many new recipes & ideas......

I guess it all depends on how much you enjoy food & cooking. If that is something you like - F & WF is great. If you don't care much for that, then you won't be missing much.

Maybe I shouldn't schedule our first night's dinner and sort see what happens. Maybe we'll head over to EPCOT in late afternoon or evening for FWF and Illuminations.

Any ideas on how crowded Epcot will be considering it's Sunday and it's the last weekend of FWF? Also, I did see that Chubby Checkers is supposed to be playing. Are the band areas to listen to the music pretty crowded? I will have two dc, 10 and 12yo. I think they might enjoy this if it didn't involve large crowds or longs waits.

TIA againJ!

Lisa
