Am I making the right decision?

I am thinking of cancelling TRex for the following reasons:

1) I'm planning so far ahead for other parks. Disney Springs is one that I want to have some flexibility of where to eat.

2) Girls don't really care for dinosaurs. My son MIGHT but he is only 1.5 years old right now so who knows when the trip comes along.

3) This will be the meal that will be OOP.

4) Heard that it can be loud and MAY be scary for my 22 month old.

Thoughts?

please reassure me that I am doing the right thing by cancelling.

Sound a like you have no compelling reason to eat there. I'd cancel.

I think canceling is the right decision too. You have a ton of great options to eat, and for us, even if we plan to go to Disney Springs, we don't always make it.

Yeah, I'd wing it for DS day too. There are so many food options there. Now just keep in mind, if you go on a Friday or Saturday night the TS places will be busy, especially if it's a busy Disney time.

Without a doubt, i'd cancel TRex as well. There are sooooo many NEW options at disney springs. I'd just wing it and see what you like. Some recommendations from folks here wouldnt hurt. I havent tried a lot of the new places myself but for old faves, for QS I do love WGPE. Portions are huge and food is absolutely incredible and consistently delicious. Never once had a bad experience here in all my years. They bring the food to your table btw, you just order and find a seat.

Personally, I don't need a reason for not eating at TRex. You are doing the right thing. Plenty of other fish in the sea of Disney Springs.

Poutine at Daily Poutine and then dessert at Amorette's. I have also been wanting to try D-Luxe Burger. Also, we walk in for lunch at House of Blues if you end up wanting a TS meal... it is very good.

We enjoy Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace area. Huge portions , good food and they bring it to your table after you order. Other QS options are Cooke's of Dublin, Earl of Sandwich ( not the best use of a credit ), Blaze Pizza, Polite Pig and D-luxe Burger.
Take a look at the menus to see which appeals to your family. The best sites for that are the Dis sister site www.wdwinfo.com and www.allears.net IMO.

Also, cancel, but take the kids there anyway. They can poke around the gift shop and play in the dig site, which I'm sure they will love.

If the enjoy it, you can think about next trip.

If you aren't a huge dinosaur fan, it isn't worth it. It's my favorite restaurant on property, but that's because I am a HUGE dinosaur nerd. There are better options for you at DS.
