Am I Going Crazy?..Or was it really him?

In Space Mountain, wasn't Mario Lopez (originally known as A.C. Slater on Saved by the Bell, then later on in The Other Half, a cheesy male rip-off of The View) doing the pre-show? I recall him on the little monitors talking about space or something. Last time, I wanted to proove it to a friend, but he wasnt on the screen anymore... Am I going crazy? Or does anyone else remember Mario Lopez in Space Mountain?

...Yes, it was absolutely Mario Lopez during the pre-show video. I don't know if he's still in it because the past few times I've ridden I've used FP and haven't had to wait in the line to see it, but I absolutely remember a few years back thinking, "so THIS is where his post-SBTB career took him?"

I believe you're correct! It was Mario Lopez in the continuously running loop in the pre-show area in the mid-90s.

The queue line was different then, and they had overhead TV monitors which played different space-themed shows and commercials, like used car ads (I think it was Craaazy Larry's!! or something like that) that sold spaceships and rockets, and a newscast with anchors reporting about the happenings in outer space.

I can't remember what role he had, but I do remember having to watch that loop over and over again while waiting FOREVER for Space Mountain during my college springs breaks ('95 and '96).

Mario is now the co-host of ESPN Hollywood that airs at 5:00 on ESPN 2. I guess he's better off than Screech!
