Am I getting old or is this horribly wrong?

I'm with you. The costumes and the hip moves distracted from some other good dancing.

HOLY MOLY! :scared:

Those girls are INCREDIBLE dancers; they really should've had a little more appropriate material, FOR SURE! :sad2:

Personally, don't like to see this happening. There are more appropriate routines for their age.

Their moms and dads should think twice about allowing these girls on that stage. Growing up too fast!

Just my personal opinion.

Those girls are way to young to dance and dress like that. Shame on there parents for allowing them to do that.

I read also that they were only 7 but according to a friend the rules of the World of Dance say you have to be at least 9 to do the tour.. not that it makes it any better..

Very talented little tarts, aren't they?

Ok, first.....I think the parents of these girls bear 100% responsibility for allowing their daughters to perform such a blatenly sexual routine. My girls have always been in cheer or cheer and dance and anytime (didn't happen often) some move or outfit was highly questionable the parents spoke up and it was handled appropriately. Alot of times they are taught or coached by people not that much older than they are and/or by people who are not parents. And regardless, as a parent you should never leave your child's best interest entirely in the hands of another person. In my opinion, and it is only an opinion (which belongs to me;)) I think that the costume, alot of the movements and even the song subject was not appropriate for the age of these girls. I would not have allowed my daughter to perform that particular routine in that costume to that song.

That being said......go back and actually WATCH the dance. Those kids have some serious talent! Some of the technique is extremely advanced for that age child.....I was VERY impressed with these girls. And on top of the talent there was some awesome stage presence as well. Too bad it wasn't directed in a more age appropriate fashion for their routine but hopefully it was a one-off bad judgement call. Can you imagine how extaordinary they will be at 17 if they can dance like that at 7?!?!

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: Oh my...

Not that long ago, wasn't that construed as um, adult entertainment? OMG I feel like I'm ancient, and I'm not even 30 yet!

Over my dead body will my DD be doing that, especially with my permission!!

I think its a shame. They are very talented and should be performing more suitable routines. The costumes and the moves are very inappropriate for young children. What the hell are their parents thinking.

Hmmm....what is the right age for objectifying yourself as a sex object? :confused3

Call me Granny b/c I don't think this behavior is appropriate at any age, unless you work in a strip club ;)

They are incredible dancers for 7.

When dd was taking hip hop dance, I cringed at many of the song selections but there just isn't a lot of that genre of music that is 100% "appropriate". As for the clothing, that is pretty normal for dance costumes.

Amazing dancing, very inappropriate costumes.

Great dancers. I think full black leotards like Beyonce wore would have been better. Yeesh!

Very talented little tarts, aren't they?

I agree , those girls can really dance.

I don't think they look 7, maybe 9 or 10 and that it the type of music kids are listening too and watching the videos as well.

I agree with the others. The clothing was very inappropriate, but those girls are unbelievably talented!

Wow. Just. . . wow. :sad2: I felt like the camera crews from "To Catch A Predator" were going to pop out any second and bust the whole audience.

:scared1: Those girls are way too talented to be doing that! They're technique alone could have stolen the show without that dancing and those revealing costumes. I danced for 18 years and competed most of those years and I have seen 7 year old girls/boys that were as good as them, but never a big group like that where they all had such amazing talent. It's a shame the dance instructors did not showcase their talent in a better way, and a shame the parents did not speak up!
