ok so we had our vacation all booked..got the tickets then we switched over to the visa deal..so they said send your tickets back and we will refund them ...so we sent them back...still havent seen the credit...i know they got them...had confirmation of that..now the guy i talked to today when making my last payment for our vacation tells me ...our tickets arent refundable...WHAT WHAT WHAT!!!....now can this dude just not be in the loop and just not know..or should i be freaking out....i have talked to others and they said send em back..then i talked to someone and they said they received em and it could take one to two cycles to see the credit on your card...now what should i believe....i am kinda scared that i wont see a credit..help me...

If I remember all of the technicalities - They have up to 30 days (may be business days) to refund on a return. When I did debit card disputes they had to wait 30 days before we could file the dispute. That's one of the reasons they tell you one to two cycles - the credit might hit at an odd time and show up on a statement you get in two weeks or it might not show up till the next one if they just miss the cut-off.

Recommendation? Document when you called - hopefully you have a name or operator number. If you were dialing Disney it probably was a pay call - log the date and time from your phone bill. If you file a dispute you will need to have tracking for this of when & who you talked with. Keep your delivery confirmation etc that shows they received it also. You would need proof of the return.

I would not worry for the time being. Refunds from Walt Disney World often take a bit of time. Once they are processed by Walt Disney World it often takes a number of billing cycles it appears on your statement. This is due to bank procedure, not the Walt Disney World Resort.

You may know that the general rule is that Walt Disney World tickets are non-refundable. However, clearly a Cast Member made an exception for you since you are switching to a package that includes the Ultimate Park Hopper ticket. The other Cast Member you spoke with was just quoting the policy.

If you are concerned, I would call back the representative you spoke with or write to Walt Disney World Guest Communications. If a mistake has been made, I am positive that Disney will correct it for you.

who was this with? a travel agent? disney? good advice to get the name of everyone you talk to and document everythig and ask for hard copies of any thing..don't just take someone's word for it get it in writing. you should have something about the original vacation package you had...does it say anything about non refundable tickets?

your right..i am sure i am getting concerned over nothing..i have the names of the folks i talked to and all....and i have everything documented..i am like that....everything has been done directly through disney..so why would they want my experience to be anything less than magical right?? i need to calm down and just be patient.....thanks..

ok hubby talked to them today and all is well..they got the tickets and they said that they are crediting them back..could just take up to 14 days to do so..i just need to chill out..but geesh when you talking almost 900 bucks you know you tend to get a bit antsy....well at least i do....
