Am I forgetting anything?

We leave tomorrow for our first trip to WDW. So far I have packed and confirmed ADR's. Is there anything else I need to do? Should I call the hotel and confirm my reservation there? It was booked through Southwest vacations. Is there anything I am forgetting that I need to do before leaving? :confused3

I'm leaving tomorrow too!! How excited are you!?!? :)

If you're flying down, see if you can check in prior to arriving at the airport. I know that Jet Blue let me print my boarding passes already and so does Southwest.

I am leaving tomorrow too! Did you stop the mail and newspaper? Pack snacks for the flight tomorrow? I really should clean my house so it's not a mess when i come back, but ....

I can hardly wait. Everyone have fun!

Have a good time, the weather looks great and now we all might get to see a shuttle liftoff as last night it was scrubbed! :thumbsup2

It sounds like you are all set to go. There is no need to confirm anything, espically if you have printed confirmations. I never confirm anything and have never had a problem in all our trips to the world. I just finished printing our boarding passes on Jet Blue.....now it feels real :goodvibes

If you are doing any carry-ons make sure your liquids are by the 3-1-1 rule. Have all liquids in a ziplock bag so it is easier going thru security. http://www.tsa.gov/311/

Other than that it sounds like you are ready to go like the rest of us!

have a great trip.

Thanks everyone! I am flying Southwest but it isn't ticketless travel so I will be showing up at the airport a little more early tomorrow. I will look at that link for the 3-1-1 rule. The only liquid I am taking in my carry-on is hand sanitizer and hand wipes. You all have a safe flight! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I feel exactly the opposite! Why not spend a couple of minutes and reconfirm things (hotel, flight, etc.).

Mistakes can happen after you receive your confirmations -- I had a hotel reservation (at Candy Cane Inn near Disneyland) that mysteriously got canceled. I'm so glad I called to check on it - what an awful surprise to find out when you arrive that you don't have a reservation!

Be very careful to check your flight a few hours before you leave. Flight times can often change.

Print your boarding pass before you leave!

We leave on Sunday and are super excited. It will be our first trip at Christmas. Can't wait to see the decorations.

We also pack postcard stamps, a roll of pennies and quarters for the pressed penny machines (kids love them and they are relatively cheap souvenirs) and because it's that time of year AIRBORNE to keep healthy.
And I almost forgot to pack my MVMCP tickets that were sent in the mail a few months ago.
Have a blast everyone!

As a travel agent and a frequent traveler, I find that the more phone calls you make - even to confirm - can screw things up. Every time someone accesses your reservations, anything can happen to it. There are a lot of "stupids" in the workforce. If you have printed resort confirmation and paid in full that is all you need. If your reservation is not there upon physical check in (which rarely happens) and you have printed confirmation you will be taken care of...most likely in the form of an upgrade.
however I have had my share of misinformation, which coincides with a lot of under trained staff in the workforce.

As far as airlines go, the rule of thumb is when traveling in the winter months always book the earliest flight. This way if there is a delay, you will be the first out, and sometimes the early flights do get off but the later ones get delayed.

Since hard airline tickets are a rarity, I always check in on line as soon as possible.

Believe me, I have been traveling since I was 4 years old...that is 41 years 4 passports, and a lot of miles, I have pretty much seen it all. I must have the travel angel over my shoulder but I have never ever experienced a missing reservation or have any of my clients. I am not saying it does not happen, I do pleasure travel more than most. In my 32 vacations in the past 4 years, nothing was missing...and I never checked them.

I am leaving tomorrow too!!! :cool1: First time at WDW during Christmas!!! Super Excited. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I am SUPER excited and the best part is my DD (8) has NO idea! :cloud9: I don't think I will get any sleep tonight! :woohoo:
