I hope I am not forgetting anything we may need on our trip to Disneyworld. My husband and I haven't been to Disneyworld since the 1990's and that's before we knew each other! We have two daughters 4 and 2, I think they are going to love this trip. I've already booked two character dinners so I know I need to pack princess clothes but I just hope I'm not forgetting anything else we may need. We have a timeshare I'd love to sell so that's why I want to take the paperwork with us. Please critique my list and let me know if there's anything else I may want to add to it.

1. Paperwork for darn Timeshare/ phone numbers of FL real estate agents
2. Pack n play (I think Claire will take naps in it.)
3. sunscreen
4. bug spray
5. AA batteries
6. wrapped gifts for the girls (some they will open on the way down, most before we go to Disney on each day)
a. Princesses dresses,crowns
b. Bubbles
c. Books, toys to play with on the trip
d. a new DVD?
e. disposable camera's
7. leashes for the girls
8. ballcaps for Craig and I
9. sunglasses for everyone (extra pairs too)
10. bathing suits,beach towels
11. sandals
12. beach toys
13. nonperishable food (make up pancake recipe and put in ziploc bags?)
14. cooler with drinks, snacks in it...lots of ice. soft cooler is allowed into Disneyworld
15. our own pillows, sheets, comforters? maybe princess sheets for girls?
16. mini dvd player and case
17. first aid kit for boo boo's, sunburn, upset tummies
18. maps, books on Disneyworld
19. packed clothes DUH
20. baby proofing stuff so Claire can't electricute herself. plastic gate, plugs, locks
21. sound machine that we keep in the hallway, night lights
22. Good walking tennis shoes for everyone (need to buy these a month before our trip so we can break them in)
23. Make sure Craig and I have our driver's license, health insurance cards, aaa card, debit card,1 cc for emergency. Traveler's checks?
24. Digital camera/Video camera
25. Bed railings so the girls can't fall out of the bed at bedtime.
26. Double Stroller
27. Craig's prescriptions
28. ponchos
29. anti bacterial gel
30. ziploc bags
31. sippy cups
32. autograph books

TIA,

Sarah

Looks good! :thumbsup2

If you would like my packing list...PM me your email address and I will send it to you! We have this down to a science by now!

You should also bring a change of shoes for everyone. A good tip at blister prevention is to NOT wear the same shoes every day. I typically bring Nikes and Croc flip flops. I wear the flip flops when we go back out at night for dinner/fireworks and it really helps.

You will need a fan or even a little mini spray bottle that you can find in the dollar isle at Walmart. Even in the winter it gets very hot.:sunny::firefight Don't go in the summer EVER without at least a spray bottle because we almost died!:crazy2: Now we go in the beginning of September when it is not nearly as hot!

Crocs Always give me blisters! Try on a bunch on cheap comfortable slip-ons and find the right pair! Other wise you will be in blister central!

Are you staying at a WDW resort? If you are, you don't need to bring a Pack N Play. They are provided with your room....sometimes in the room. Sometimes you have to request it, but they always have them. And it's a standard Pack N Play. Nothing weird.

Also, the hotel may be able to provide you with rails for the bed. Always good to ask because they can be pretty big to bring your own!

phone/charger

We took a bottle brush and bottle drainer (Munchkin) with a little bottle of dish soap, unless you want to go the take and toss road for cups.

But you can never beat what my grandma used to tell me:
"Lay out everything you want to take on vacation. Take half the clothes and twice the money." :thumbsup2

First, I want to thank everyone for all their great suggestions. Also, for the user who offered their packing list my contact is cotton17 @ insightbb dot com I tried to pm you but the website said I needed to have at least 10 posts before I could pm? Didn't really understand that because I"m new out here but I'm sure I'll have 10 posts in no time.

Again Thank you and I hope everyone has a wonderful time at Disney!

I wouldn't bother bringing my own sheets, pillows, and comforters. Unless someone is really picky about their pillow, I might bring that, but the sheets have always been clean. You probably won't need the comforter anyway, so just throw the ones that come on the bed on the floor. Your kids are going to be so tired they really won't care that the sheets are plain white. ;) I think you must be driving because there is no way I would be able to fit all that into my suitcase and not exceed the airline limits ;) :)

eta: also where are you staying? I see on your list of baby proofing stuff you put down Plastic Gate. We never found this necessary in the hotel room. I just brought plastic outlet covers and one of those finger door pinch guards for the bathroom door. Nothing else was really needed although I guess a gate might have come in handy for the kitchenette in the villa. But all gates may not be wide enough to fit all the openings that need to be blocked and again, because we fly, we have to leave that stuff at home. It was never really a problem though because when we're in a hotel room we're a lot less distracted than at home (like at home, you have all the housework and other distractions you won't have on vacation, yay!) so you'll be a lot more likely to be able to keep an eye on your LO anyway. jmo

Also, DW will provide bed rails I believe. If you're not staying on a DW property then you may need to bring them otherwise I'd just use the ones that DW has.

Moleskin. We swear by it. With all of the walking that we do in WDW, it is a lifesaver for us. It prevents foot blisters! Unless it's already in your first aid kit...

a baby monitor if you and DH want to sit outside at night while the girls are in bed.

I always bring a small bottle of detergent and a few quarters in case I have to do a quick load of laundry...it comes in really handy if one of the kids gets sick and I need to go wash out clothes, linens, whatever quickly (we always stay at Fort Wilderness in our RV so having extra linens delivered isn't anything I can count on, unfortunately)

Also, don't forget baby wipes...the kids (nor you) are never too old for baby wipes! Being a mom you already know they work for everything ;)

Have fun!!!

Sometimes we take an over the door shoe holder (you can get a cheap one at the dollar store, or a better one at a department store) to hold all kinds of odds and ends, shoes, hair, bathroom items, receipts, etc...... You wouldn't believe how nice it is to have all those little things organized and in one place. I read about that on a cruise forum and I am so thankful.

I am an over-packer, so I may not be the best person to ask what to bring, but I'll try to think of things other people might want or need....

Slippers or slipper socks?

Night light?

robe?

Laundry soap and/or fabric softener--- I think it's Purex that now sells sheets that you use in the washer, then throw in the drier....I just tried them and they were very convenient on our recent trip.

I ALWAYS take one or two of those foldable bags in case I need more room to take things home in.

A foldable, light-weight hamper, or garbage bag for dirty clothes and for carrying to laundry room.

manicure kit---always can use a file, little scissors for hangnails, tweezers....

Burn relief gel---my DH burns easily

Powder

Q-tips

crayons, i-pods, puzzle books

chargers for camera's, i-pod, laptop, phones

I didn't see diapers, wipes (I bring them everywhere and my kids are 10 & 7), diaper ointment (just in case), someone said motrin, but I always bring cold formulas, vitamins, aloe, hair elastics, pads, lanyards, quarters/pennies, hairbrush.

Your list looked good to me.

Almost ALL the resorts have either cribs or pack n plays there. I would call to ask and have them make a note in your reservation. Bring a BIG pen for the characters, they have a hard time holding little pens or pencils. Drop the sheets/comforters ect. you wont need them. You didnt mention where you will be staying. Did you have your stroller on your list? The ones that they have are hard and uncomfortable and EXPENSIVE!! If anyone has allergies you may want to take some benedryl and something for the girls..just in case. It NEVER fails that someone in my family gets a sore throat or runny nose when we get there. Dont forget tylenol or pain reliever for everyone and make sure that you keep it with you in the parks at ALL TIMES. Chargers for anything that need charging..if you are flying, then make sure to pack everyone a change of cloths in your carry on...just in case. The first time that I went with my kids I WAY over packed. I definitely had to trim it down. Dont forget all of your toiletries, makeup ect..and if you can get the kids to wear hats, do so. Their little heads get so hot and can get a sunburn where their hair parts..OUCH!!!! HAVE FUN!!!

Hi! I think your list sounds great! Here are a few things on mine. I'm sorry if someone else mentioned any of these or if you had them--I cross-checked quickly!

We leave in 27 days for my sons' first trip; they're 4 and 2.

batteries and/or cord for the sound machine
umbrella
pajamas
earplugs (for kids on loud rides and for husband at night in room!)
gum (hard, possibly impossible, to find in parks)
Cheerios (I've heard it's also hard to find)
tissues
OTC pain relievers
permanent marker (I have a tiny one that will be handy for labeling kids' drink cups, etc.)
envelopes with cash for Mousekeeping
sanitizing hand wipes
Tabletoppers
DVD player with cord, charger
trash bags and/or grocery store bags
paper towels
small plastic dishes and/or bowls (for snacks in the room)
small plastic bins (like you get at the dollar store to keep things like keys, wallets, sunglasses)
night light
glow sticks
caribiners (to hang things off of the stroller)
stroller organizer
stroller identifier (like a bandanna if yours isn't easy to spot)
stroller cover (or even just a poncho to throw over it if it rains)
small diaper changing pad
full diaper wipes container
good book to read if there's a quiet moment!

Best wishes for a wonderful trip! Jennifer

Did someone mention ziplocks? I always bring a handful of sandwich and gallon sized bags. I also bring my whole medicine chest. Benadryl, motrin, bandaids, cortizone cream, aloe lotion, ladies tools.

LOL but I have to ask

Are you moving to Disney or just going for a vacation? My goodness that is a lot of stuff!
