Am I crazy

I have dresses for my daughter to meet each of the characters in (ie: red & white polka dots for Minine, Blue for cinderella etc.) Will I be the only mother frantically changing her 4 yr old daughter each time we see a character. Actually we are having breakfast at the Castle so she will start out in the blue dress then we will head to Toon town for Mickey and minnie which means changing into the red. Then if we see the princesses again there another change back to the blue. Is this crazy???

In my opinion YES!!!
You are going to spend so much time changing her, that you might miss the opportunity to get the picture or autogrph.

Why not just figure that on the day you have Cindy ressies she will wear the blue dress. Plan another day for the Polk-a-dot dress, and that is the day you go see Minnie. Etc etc.

Also are you sure you want to put her in a dress all day? Is it a comfortable dress??? Are you going to care if it gets dirty??? And howe are you going to carry all these dresses around every day...bring your suitcase into the park???

Is your 4 yr old going to tolorate being constantly "changed" and missing out on the sites???

Don't get me wrong, I think seeing a kid in a cute outfit is great, and if you can get a pic with a charecter even the more better. But you might be a little main about this !!

How about a cute t-shirt. DD had one with Minnie and Mickey, one with POOH and friends and one with the Princesses! They were much more comfortable, and all the charecters "commented" on them no matter what.

I have to agree. We did the t-shirt thing with shorts for the castle breakfast also. My daughter had a great princess t-shirt that had all the princesses on it. Each princess talked about her picture. Sleeping beauty even explained that she has to switch her gown every other day so the fairies won't get upset. One day pink, the next day blue.

For me, it would just be too stressful. But, my daughter HATES to change clothes. LOL, she is 9 years old and you would think that she is getting to the age where she loves to put on new clothes and stuff. But she is the ultimate stinky tomboy. If I didn't make her change her clothes EVERY DAY she would mold over LOL.

I have to agree with the others who have said that you will be spending way too much time changing. Also depending on the age of your daughter, ask her how she feels. I think the idea of picking a day for each outfit and getting the pictures and autographs for the day based on the outfit.

The most important part of going to WDW is to have fun.

Sorry, but I too agree. Just think, how would you feel if you were in MK or any part of WDW and you had to change a few times during the day in clothes, well, not as comfortable as shorts and t-shirt. Will your little one also be wearing shoes to match the outfit? If yes, don't you think she would be more comfortable walking around WDW in sneakers rather than matching shoes to her outfit? JMO. Maybe I would do one if you really have your heart set on it and then bring a pair or shorts, t-shirt and sneakers she can change into right after your meal. Let us know what you decide. Have fun, that's the main point for not only you but especially your daughter.

Yes. It's a crazy idea. I think you would definitely be the only Mom frantically changing a child's clothes for each character. Not to mention carrying clothes around the park etc... The previous posters had a lot of good ideas that should help you come up with a more practical plan. You may also consider a photo session with Mickey at DD where it might be more appropriate to be dressed up.

Okay here is what I have decided to do. She will wear her princess costume to breakfast (I read a post on the family board that said lots of girls do this) then she will change into her minnie mouse sundress (not an actuall costume just a dress I bought for her with red & white polka dots) for the rest of the day. It is a nice cotton dress with no sleeves so she should be quite comfortable. She wears sundresses all summer she actually prefers them to shorts and a t-shirt. We bought her Nike sandals (yes we are breaking them in) which she will wear with all her outfits. I may keep the costume with us and if we line up to see the princesses at Mickey's toon town stick it back on her, but this will depend on the line, the temp and how she feels.

So I guess putting DS in the Tigger costume for 1900 faire is out of the question just kidding!

Wow! and I thought I was manic about my kids clothes and photos....ha -- just kidding abbyndrewsmom...

I, too, want to have the "perfect" outfits on 'em to have the perfect pictures! Everything they have to wear down there is matching and Disney and goes with the itinerary ~ lol...

What's the good of two girls if ya can't splurge & makem look cute, eh?!
