What the heck, as long as it's apparently New Thread Day, I might as well celebrate properly.

Well, here's the thing... I keep hearing Star Trek sound effects everywhere. I heard the tricorder beeping in the bathroom one day, and the communicator opening several times; just now I was in Food Lion and thought that a small, humming cooler was the transporter beam- I swear that they sounded exactly the same!

...But then, that's what makes me worried. Maybe they *shouldn't* sound the same, odd as that seems, but who knows.

Bah, I'm getting confuzzled again.
