Am I crazy? Park hopping strategy, WDYT?

Hi everyone! My BF and I are heading to WDW this September. We have a split stay. The first 3 days (AoA) we aren't buying park tickets - 1 day is travel, 1 day is going to be spent in Tampa, 1 day is MNSSHP. Our last 4 days (POR) are park days. I currently have AK on 9/16, DHS 9/17, MK 9/18, and Epcot 9/19. I have the hoppers just in case I decided to be crazy and change my mind/over think things, like I tend to do!

Here's my thing - we have the DDP, and are going to be there for the first day of Food and Wine (our last day in the parks, 9/19). I have that as specifically an Epcot day. We have a dinner reservation for Teppan Edo that day. My BF loves Hibachi, so I let him pick that ADR. It's the least I could do after pretty much choosing everything else, haha. But, since we are only there for F&W one day, I really want to make the most of that experience, and I feel like Teppan Edo is somewhat of a waste of a TS credit because I know I won't be hungry after sampling F&W goodies all day long (which I fully intend to do)!

We already have TS meals scheduled for Ohana (AK day late dinner), BOG (MK day), and CP breakfast (MK day). We don't have anything for DHS, because I felt like I would rather have a character breakfast and DHS was one of the places I was willing to give up an ADR.

Is it rational to do the following.. Keeping AK and MK days the same,
Go to Epcot in the AM on our DHS day (Weds 9/17), stay for lunch and do Teppan Edo that day, getting the major attractions in Epcot out of the way, and heading to DHS for the late afternoon/evening to catch some rides/shows Fantasmic!

And then, on our F&W day, Friday 9/19, we could hit up DHS in the AM to finish up the attractions we missed, and head to Epcot around lunch time, staying there throughout the evening for the F&W festival?!

Maybe I'm weird for thinking we won't want to eat TS on a F&W day, but I figured I would ask around and see your opinions.. Thanks!!! :lovestruc

I don't think there's anything wrong with that plan. Though you could always change your ADR for Teppan Edo to a later time on your original epcot day. F and W is a lot of food, but in my experience I wasn't too full to eat dinner.
Think of it this way: get to Epcot in the AM, hit F and W at 11 when they open and eat around the world as your lunch. Then by 6/7 at night you might be ready for dinner.

Either way sounds like a fun trip!

I always enjoy Teppan Edo towards the end of a trip, because it is an almost sensible amount of food (not too much like so many other places), and it's such a nice balance of flavors, I generally feel good about myself after that meal.

But it does depend on how many pricy, small samples you would buy before that dinner.

Just a heads up, the F&W booths are typically opened a day early on that thursday. Ofcourse, it is nothing official, but they always do a CM preview day that day, however anyone is welcome to buy from the stands and anything else that might be open. It is not an official start of the festival, and by no means would I plan on going thursday only, but if you could squeeze it in in addition to friday, you might be able to do a quick loop around the world thursday and try a few things :)
