A month to go and with the exception of the kids doing the Grand Adventures in Cooking, I have no PS's. 9 days and nary a single one. :D

I just feel like winging it this time.

If you don't want to eat anywhere in particular or at any particular time there's nothing wrong with that. If you have a problem getting into a sitdown place then you can always do counter service.

I have to do PS because my dd is like a tiger when she gets hungry so I plan everyday, she is very structured oriented! Of course so is her mom;)

Grand Adventures in Cooking sounds like fun! ENJOY!!

Nah, we leave in 24 days and I only have ONE PS for MNSSHP night. The rest of the time we'll eat in our room (breakfast and some lunches), counter service and graze the F & W festival. It's sorta relaxing not having the stress of preplanning all those meals. Of course, we have also visited Disney several times in the past 4 years.

We're leaving Friday (at 2:00 after work and driving straight through :earseek: ) and I've not made one yet. I guess I better go ahead and at least make our 'Ohana and special mommy and daddy only dinner night out (but that I still haven't decided where) PS's.

Oh well everyone enjoy whatever they do!

I don't have any made for my Oct. trip & most likely won't....

We have gone the past several trips with no PS's - It worked out just fine - relaxing not to worry about being someplace at a certain time.....

Family trip in April will have PS's, tho, as I am worried about crowds being bigger than we are used to...

Our next trip is scheduled for early November and I have only made two priority seatings. One is a character meal in which I needed in order to enter the MK prior to opening. The second is for a Saturday night which tends to be more crowded. Normally I schedule at least one each day of the vacation, however thats when I travel with kids. This trip will be just DH and me. I'm looking forward to being spontaneous. Besides a table for two is usually easier to get.

PS's aren't always necessary. Our first with-kid trip we didn't have any. Our last trip we had one (Chef Mickey's). This coming trip we have 2, and that's only b/c we are travelling with my sister's family of boys & they didn't want to go to the Princess Storybook Breakfast that DD wants to go to.

This is the first of about 12 or so trips that I have not nailed down PS's. Its actually kinda nice to know that we do not have to be a certain place at a certain time. And I am sure we won't starve. However, I did break down today and booked Blue Zoo for just me and dh. With all the rave reviews that was one place I did want to try.

We never make PS before leaving home unless it is for something special. We usually just call the night before/morning of/few hours before the meal and get something then. This plan works fine. I have never starved while at WDW.

For years we have made a PS for every night of our trip. Well, last trip we decided on only two PS and found the added flexibility to be wonderful plus we saved a lot of money. Going to do the same this December. ::MickeyMo

this vaca is totally the opposite of our 2001 vaca
I have an idea of which parks I want to do on what day (I left open our last full day)
and we only have 2 PSs - Chef Mickey's arrival day and O'Hana's in middle of wk
feels strange - last trip we had at least 1 PS every day - but this time Im looking for the flexibility (and we can cook in our "home")

Last trip we did very few PS for the first week in Dec. My DH said since it was a slow time, he thought we should just wing it. As a result, no Le Cellier, no CRT for dinner, etc. We decided that we would make PS for the places we really want to go for our next trip. Good thing is we tried some new places like China where we really enjoyed the food.

I didn't make any before heading down to wdw last week and had no problem getting seated. At most I would make a PS a few hours ahead of time and might have to take a time 10 minutes later than the time I wanted (7:10 pm instead of 7:00 pm) but I was never unable to get a seat and many places we walked into without any ps (the brown derby for lunch for example).

However we never ate at any 'high demand' places like the rose and crown during illumanatiotions or the CG during wishes, if you want that then you should make yours in advance

Because of the weather we were expecting to have, I had no clue what park I would be at on what day and who knew what time we would be hungry.

We would decide in the morning where we were going and then pick a place to eat. I would go to guest services and make a PS.

But when we would get to the restaurant there would hardly be anyone there (we eat late). There would only be like 5 people on their whole PS list.

Now, if you are going a very busy week and eat early, you probaly would need a PS.

The only time we would have a problem is if we went to a park to eat on an early entry day. we made the mistake of NOT making a PS at the steak house at Canada. We ate at Chefs de France the night before and it was no problem getting seated. We ran over to Epcot just to eat at Canada and they said they were not taking anymore people unless they had a PS. I asked if they had any PS seating times available and they did. So we got to eat there anyway, except we had to wait for 40 minutes.
