Okay.. I need some help!!! Any and all is appreciated!

We are going in March 05~*~ Myself, DH, DS & DD.

We will have 5 full days to spend at the theme/waterparks. I wasn't going to do a 'commando' type schedule for this trip. I was going to basically plan one day at each theme park and one day at a water park. I was going to buy the 5 day/PHP and just save the 1 park day and the extra plus for a future trip.

This will be the first trip with the kids so I'm not sure how they will do at the parks. This is what makes me nervious about the new tickets. Say I just buy the 4 day basic ticket and pay gate price for the water park. What if we get to MK and it is packed for some unforseen reason. Or if go to Epcot and the kids aren't thrilled with the rides there. Or if we get to the water park and its too cold and we want to do parks 5 days instead of just 4. Would we be able to 'upgrade' our 4 day basic to a 5 day hopper? or would we just have to buy a whole new day ticket? Or are we "up a creek without a paddle"

I know many say that they're saving money with the new tickets, I want to too! However, I love the flexibility of being able to us all parts of PHP tickets, even if it is on a future trip. I'm afraid that with the new ticket I'm going to be stressed about really planning every day of our trip down to the last detail.

So, should I go ahead and just buy a 7 day PHP now and have the old fashion 'freedom' I'm used to or try to save some money and stress about not park hopping and having our trip planned out as to not waste a day.

oh the stress!!!!

I would buy the new 5 day park hopper ticket WITHOUT the plusses, but add on the park hopper option for the extra $35. That way you will have a little bit of flexibility. IF you want to go the water park, you can go ahead and just pay admission for that. We have had a Plus option for the waterparks on our last 3 trips, and we still haven't used it. And I'm not planning on using it this trip. You don't give the ages of your kids, but ours our 2 and 4, and they are happy just going to the parks and to the resort pool.

If anything, you could upgrade to a 6 day park hopper because it's only ONE MORE DOLLAR per ticket if you buy in advance. We originally were going to get a 5 day hopper, but we decided to do 6 days in the parks because it's so cheap.

Why don't you buy the 7 day MYW with the PH add-on + no expiration date. For 2A 1C it would be $838.83. A 7 day PHP comes to $942.58. You could always just buy the water park tickets when your there if its warm enough & you decide to go.

It actually looks like the 7 day PHP (4 pluses) might be the best value for us.

Using a special newsletter deal I can get:

2 adult 7 day PHP/4 for $640 ~ ($320 each, includes tax and shipping)
2 child 7 day PHP/4 for $510 ~ ($255 each, includes tax and shipping)
total for tickets = $1150

If I did the Advance purchase of MYW with MAGIC HOPPER OPTION (with NO plusses) it would be:
2 adult 7 day MYW for $474 ~ ($237 each, includes tax and shipping)
2 child 7 day MYW for $396 ~ ($198 each, includes tax and shipping)
No expiration $234 ($58.58 times 4 tickets)
Total would be $1104 and I'd still have to buy the water passes (Plusses)

So the difference in the two tickets is $46 and 16 plusses (4 tickets each with 4 pluses). That makes each plus worth $2.88

So, It looks like to old way is definatley the better choice and value for my family. I wish I had the money and I'd buy several of these for future trips.
