am i alone?

I'm all over this board - the other day I saw a thread on the main page and I just saunter in to give my 2 cents when I realized I was on the Gay & Lesbian board :p

 whoops! :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Me too! Who knows where I want to eat 180 days in advance? Who needs touring plans, complete with clipboards, stop watches, and whistles? Who needs to plan DD's princess outfits, coordinated by park based upon Tour Guide Mike's recommended schedule? Who needs to be on the phone at 6:59:59 am ET to make reservations for something 30 days in advance? Universal doesn't need an IPO (Disney's Itinerary Planning Office for Concierge guests). I love that about that Universal. Who needs PIN codes only addressed to your cat to get a good rate at the Disney resorts and 80 million posts begging people to PM them the code, followed by reminders that PINs are person-specific. Who has a frequent guest program at their hotels that reward loyalty and guests with valuable perks? Disney? Oh, no, that's right ... Universal.

I could go on, but I just find Universal more laid back, more easy going, a better value, and less regimented and frigid. I like Disney fine, but Universal suits us better. :thumbsup2

i've come to realize that my sojurns to Disney are a thinly veiled mental challenge, my version of suduko - see how cheap I can get over on the mouse:idea: keeps me out of trouble - sorta.

:lmao:

But if you think the Disney boards are scary - try the Community Board. I have ventured over there a couple of times, only to be admonished and run back to the Universal boards with my tail tucked firmly in place :goodvibes

 :rotfl: I feel your pain....why I stay here ;)

And thank goodness you and the other regulars do stay.

I can't count the many times I have received helpful information from all of you!

After I posted it was like this

I got on a Busch Gardens board asking when Gay Days were because I didn't want to subject my family to it if I could avoid it. I was torn to shreds! I don't roam from this board now.

clueless peeps don't realize the large gay community working in the parks:confused3

middle DSs 1st trip to WDW (think he was 15-looked old enough to get served ); minnie was giving him lots of special attention @ Chef Mickeys...handlers had to come & drag her away lol.

He was puffing out his chest, puff daddy - mac'ing the ladies...

should've seen the look on his face when I told him it was probably a dude in the costume;) :rotfl:

jmho, i'm not into long pda's from any couple - get a room! lots of hotels in Orlando:banana:

You DO realize YOU are considered a 'regular' and give lots of that helpful info too...right? You are one of the PBH experts here :rolleyes1

ha - mr tuff guy got up in front hundreds of peeps during community days, in full costume, as Prince (did several songs) during High School (he was easily 250# then, football center) quite a sight - the crowd roared:thumbsup2

He has a fine voice - keep telling him to try out for idol

he also does a mean verision of The Weathergirls "It's Raining Men" hallelujah:dance3: ...one of his fav songs since he was a tot.

Have had many a peep tell me of his karoke exploits...all that and a bag of chips:laughing: ::cop:

ps sorry to op:flower3: , i've done hijacked ur thread - a thousand disco tunes to be played in my head as punishment;)

me:rotfl: :lmao:

however, it is jolly good fun:banana: to just have to pay for a few nights @ loews, show up & put it on autopilot:thumbsup2 for a few days @ the end of our WDW trips.

least we forget;) ...Walt took a big chance & dreamed big...started the whole non-carney type of amusement park; Universal ran with it and put their own stamp of coolness on it.

putting on tin-foil hat (don't get me started on Disney's bioscans/huge govt data base-do i have a clone?/imagineers=para military/ pssst - stitch is an alien ) back to our regularly scheduled drivel - hee-hee:upsidedow see! disney peeps aren't scary at all
note to self - sign up the cats & dogs for possible WDW pincodes:idea:

That is hilarious and describes the mental gymnastics I go through to get the most of a WDW trip to a T!

I love going to Disney World.

I can say that here without fear of flogging.

I love going to Universal.

If I say that on the Disney side, I risk serious cyber injury.

Is that what you mean? :rolleyes1

Back when there was constantly Universal/Disney comparrison's going on around here, I tried to stay away from the dark side but I've noticed lately that the Pooks over there have been pretty good. Let them fight each other about refillable mugs and drunks at Epcot. :lmao:

My only time at Shrek 4-D was over Memorial Day weekend. Crowd levels were high, so we didn't get flogged at the pre-show. I was bummed.
