See, that's the cool thing about the DIS - you'll make friends before you go & won't have to sit alone (I'm betting you end up linking your dinner reservation with someone here before we sail).

I didn't even think about that, that would be nice, I hope so.
Just got the new passporter can't wait to read it cover to cover.

Not sure what to do about Cozumel other then going to the Hard Rock Cafe, now that the ship pulls out early. I like that we had 10 hours in port, would give me time to go over to Cancun and hit the Hard Rock Cafe, but with the shorter time, I will not be able to.

Just book my WDW trip after the cruise will stay at POP till Wed. have to check out all the new rides and the 50th Anniv. shows, and just found out my Brother will join me for that part, so we can some family time like the old days growing up.

John aka HRCCrazy

Do you think we'll actually go to Cozumel? I had heard that the pier wouldn't be repaired until December, and that best guess was that we'd end up in Costa Maya (and all of this presumes that we don't get re-routed by any of the storms that run around at that time of the year).

My DH & I are also staying at WDW post-cruise (only until Tuesday, but we're at the BCV).

The Western last week went to Cozumel. Not really thrilled about either place.

We are staying at WDW for one night after then get on the Wonder. Then we'll be at the BCV after for a couple nights.

They are using tenders atm until the pier is fixed. This will reduce our time in Cozumel though.

Hi All,
Just booked my air for the cruise, red eye in Sat. at 6 AM I hope to be on the first bus to the port.

Did change to Dixie (POR) Landings for my stay after the cruise, and got the free dinner also.

Any one start packing yet ?? :hyper:

Has anyone done any of the Key West tours? Not sure what to do other then going to the Hard Rock Cafe (HRC), was thinking of doing the city tour on the train, like they show on the dvd ?

Anyone doing a door sign, I had scan the Green Mickey that home depot has and added my name, city, dis info, and dates, on an 8x11 magnet sheet.

John

We are doing some door signs but havent got around to making them yet.
I kinda of like the idea of visiting the pirate soul museum in key west but havent gotten around to look into that either. Im really going to have to get myself better organised. :)

Just over 4 months out! Is everyone else getting excited? My only other cruise experience is on the Royal Caribbean Empress of the Seas. Just for starters, my cabin on the Magic is over twice the size of our cabin on the EOS.

We are really starting to get excited!

I know what you mean about RCCL cabins, on the Nav. of the Sea we had a inside room that had a window that over look the stores/rest. was nice but so small, we had done 3 Disney cruise before this one, all I can say is Disney has spoiled us.

I made my first of many cruise purchase this weekend, it's a start.

Anyone what to do a meeting on the ship, my cruise last year had set up a meeting on deck 10 at 3PM on the first day, heard it work out, also on the 7 day I did before, we set up a lunch meeting on a sea day in one of the diiner rooms, we all had a great time, I still e-mail with some of them to date.
What you think?

John

A meet sounds great! We've done them at sailaway on Deck 10, starboard side. I think before the lifeboat drill may be a little bit difficult to make.

We just got a mailing from DCL with pre-cruise info (excursions, ship info, etc) and a reminder that our final payment is due by 6/2/06 - less than a month to go, then 3 months til we cruise.

We got the same mailing last weekend. Ours said the final payment was due mid-June though. I intend to pay it by the first though (just after the credit card bills :rotfl2: )

Tracey ... I hear we have the same cruising buddies. Hope we meet up at some point (look for us in the hot-tub OR scoffing down biscotti at CoveCafe) Looking forward to a relaxing cruise...sharon

That's true! We'll be by the pool a lot I'm sure! I understand you will be trying to meet up with them after the cruise. We're picking them up at the airport to start part two of the vacation :thumbsup2

June 2nd, That would make a great B-day gift to myself :thumbsup2
I email my TA Wed. night to ask when my dates were, cruise is June 25, Hotel is Aug. 1. I have not gotten anything from Disney :confused3
I book this trip Fed. 05, it's been hard having to wait so long for this cruise.

Has anyone had any luck getting a new (or first) Castaway Member card, I never got one, but my mother did.

John

I am getting seriously excited! We are trying to be patient. You know, there's a new movie coming out about a universal remote control that can control your life. I wish I had one to use on the cruise, I'd put that puppy in frame-by-frame mode and then move oh-so-slowly!

I have found some great pirate stuff at the Maritime Museum here in San Diego, and am making so many plans for the cruise that I won't get them all done, I know!

Looking forward to meeting y'all face to face! Incidentally, we have the late dinner seating, who else will be joining us late?

We have late dining too. We are starting to check out shore excursions. Been so busy planning for the 11 day cruise, I almost forgot about this one :lmao: We're thinking about doing the shipwreck snorkel on Grand Cayman and doing the Butterfly Observatory on our own on Key West. Not planning anything for Cozumel.

We're currently in the early seating (having originally booked with our 3 yo dd), and we've been debating whether or not to change it... On one hand, it's kind of nice to do dinner and then the show, on the other hand we'd have (slightly) fewer kidlets during the later seating & woudn't have to rush to make dinner. I suppose we've got until September to finally decide.

Hi All,

I want to say Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there.
I know I'm a few days early, but I'm flying out to Washington DC Friday Am for Police Week, and won't be on line Sunday.

I also have late dinner, with the time change it's about the same time I eat here in Arizona.

Take Care,
John :wave2:

Final payment date is just over two weeks away - do we have a final head count? Sailing on this cruise, me & DH for our 5th anniversary (DD gets to stay at home with Grandma & Poppa). We are: Disney fanatics for over 10 years, AP holders at DL and WDW (at least this year), veteran Disney cruisers (this will be our 4th), parents of a 3 year old DD, and avid readers. Anyone else want to chip in?

Also, does NOAA's prediction of a heavy hurricane season worry anyone?
