I remember one time when I was about 10 or 11. A carnival had come to town and I had spent the entire afternoon there. Finally I was down to my last 25 cents. What to do? Maybe get another corn dog or candy apple. I also could have taken another spin on the scrambler or octopus. So many choices yet so little money. But back behind the midway was a little tent that advertised the Man Eating Chicken exhibition. And of course it cost exactly 25 cents. Well, I simply couldnt help myself. I gave the grizzled carnie my very last quarter and was led into a room where there was a man with a KFC box between his legs. And of course he was eating chicken.
Obviously I was a moron.
A few years later I was reading a comic book that advertised X-Ray Glasses on the back pages. The thought that I would actually be able to see through womens clothes was too much for my 13 year old brain to ignore. So I sent in my money. Six weeks later I got back a pair of cheap plastic novelty goo-goo eyed glasses.
Demonstrating again that I remained very much the moron.
Then just 4 years ago this politician came along who spent record amounts of money advertising the he was a reasonable choice for the presidency. Oh, there was lots of evidence that the Presidency was far beyond this mans capabilities. But I still went ahead and voted for him anyway. Of course his election has turned out that he has been one of the worst things that has ever happened to this country. And a week doesnt go by now that he doesnt embarrass most Americans with further examples of his shocking incompetence.
So, doesnt this prove that I am still a moron?
