Am. Express discount

Am I correct in understanding that by charging your resort to your Am Express card you are entitled to a 15% discount at the disney store, and that this includes purchasing disney dollars? Can we purchase Disney dollars when we first arrive($100 in Disney $ for $85 on our card)and then use those disney dollars as we shop and buy food etc. in the parks?

A number of items - including Disney Dollars - are excluded from the 15% discount.

I'm pretty sure it does not include disney dollars (or admission for that matter)it had some good discounts on food, and some of the downtown disney stores gave discounts, but not all.They do give you a nice fanny pack.

You can get a discount on watercraft rental at the resorts.

This discount can only be used in conjunction with a Disney resort stay.
It doesn't work if you stay at SoG or the Swan or Dolphin.

I know - we tried!
