Have just booked us into a hotel at Manchester Airport for the night before we travel so we don't have to get up as early and hopefully will feel more refreshed before the long flight

well done! i never thought of doing that, do you get the carparking in with the price?
we usually get up at some stupid hour like 4am to get everyone ready to head off to manchester, its only and hour to man from here, but it then is such a long day by the time you get to florida!

The rate we have gone with doesn't include car parking as my dad is taking us, but they do rates which include 7 or 14 days car parking which seem quite reasonable

It is the Radisson SAS, the one that is 'in' the airport

We used to stay at the Radisson, but once the price went over £150 for one night with parking we looked at alternatives. We now stay at Bewleys where it is £69 for the room and £30 for the parking, so £99 in total. This year (34 days to go ) we can also have a lie in, as we don't fly until 2pm (unless we get a dreaded TCD delay!).

I agree the Radisson is expensive, but we have never stayed there so giving it a go. I have heard that Bewleys is good and very reasonable. We are flying at 6:30am down to Gatwick so no lie in
